Guest guest
Narayanaya: Narayanaya: Narayanaya: Dear Savitriji, Special pranams to you. I read your mail " The strongest solvent " as a great surprise yesterday! Thank you so much. I was discussing a serious and stressful matter with my sister over the phone and she was suggesting me to trust, pray hard and leave the matter fully to him so that he will walk me through it. But, my strong convictions of science and what is says as limitations made me see only limited options. I was not sure whether she is understanding that fully. That is when I decided to open emails and saw your email as the first one to be approved for our group. Hare Krishna! what can I say? I cold not quite believe when I read your email while still on the phone with my sister. I read the same to her and even she could not believe that God is repeating her advice through your email. " Do not solve your problems, but dissolve them in the pure devotion to God. The universal solvent for the most insoluble solutes -human problems-is devotion or bhakthi. " That is what she was telling me over the phone as well!! Let me apologize to Guruvayooorappan and to my sister for not realizing that HE comes above all our human limitations and knowledge. Thank you Savitriji for opening my eyes to solvents and elements beyond our limited " periodic table " knowledge!! May God bless you always. Guest guest
Dear Sunilji, Devotees like yourself are great that you are able to understand Krishna's indications, and Krishna very kindly guides you through His other devotees like your sister and Savitriji. Krishna's ways of reciprocation are indeed as great as Krishna Himself is. Hence Krishna states - {Ye Yathaa Maam Prapadyante Taams Tathaiva Bhajamy Aham Mama Vartamaanu Vartante Manushya Paartha Sarvashah " All of them--as they surrender unto Me--I reward accordingly. Everyone follows My path in all respects, O son of Prtha. " - BG 4:11 - http://www.asitis.com/4/11.html } Hare Krishna! ~Krishna dasa. --- Sunil Menon <menon_sunil wrote: > Narayanaya: Narayanaya: Narayanaya: > > Dear Savitriji, > > Special pranams to you. > > I read your mail " The strongest solvent " as a great > surprise > yesterday! Guest guest
Dear Sunilji, Thank you very much and May Guruvayurappan's blessings be with you! I am just a nimittham here and all your good thoughts come from your own goodness. I am very happy to see a really young person like you to have so much faith and commitment. Believe for sure, nothing can go wrong. As long as you have Him in your heart, He is guiding you in every step. I have no doubt about it. Let me share something that I do everyday which gives me immense happiness and peace. Sri Melpatthoor Bhattahtiri has said at one place to meditate Guruvayurappan in the beginning of your day like this: Imagine your Hridayakamalm ( Heart in the form of Lotus)is downward in the morning because at night, all your senses and awareness are at rest. So imagine that you are opening that lotus flower and then say the 38th chapter of Krishnaavatharam (or the avathaaram in Bhagavatham, which is longer). Visualize Guruvayurappan standing in the blooming lotus of your heart and finish reading the whole 10 slokaas in the chapter. Now you have done the prathishta (seated Him firmly) of Guruvayurappn in your heart first thing in the morning and as Melpatthoor puts, He will remove all the Alakshmi and amangalam from your mind. Then whole day, you are reverberating with His illuminating presence and nothing can go wrong. Also He advises to recite the 6th chapter, which is the description of the Virat Roopam of Vishnu Bhagavawan at the end of the day, that is, just before going to bed. This is recommended because at the end of your Karmas for that day ( karmaavasaana samaye smaraneeyamahu:) it is very auspicious to think of Virat Swaroopam so that when we sleep we merge into the Virat Purushan who fills the whole world. This has a deeper meaning too. We all are made from the five elements in nature and we go back to them at the end of all our karmaas, that is after death. So every day is a mini life with a beginning and end (birth and death) lasting for 24 hours. If we practice this everyday, Melpatthoor says, at the real end of Karmaas (at the time of death) we will dissolve in the Virat purushan and attain moksham. It may be too far for most of us to aim. But, let us at least consciously think with the help of prayer that He incarnates in our Hridaya kamalm every beautiful morning and we dissolve in Him awaiting a peaceful night and another bright morning. So even if we do not make it for the next day, we are peacefully resting with Him. What thought is more peaceful than this? I have been doing this for a long time and believe me, it helps to take away a lot of my worries. Often I miserably fail and worry about unnecessary things just because of my spiritual immaturity, not because of His unkindness. Only when I deserve He can give me the peacefulness. A small pot will hold only a small quantity of water even if it goes to a vast sea. Bigger the pot, bigger the quantity it can contain. I am a tiny pot carrying a drop of water from that vast ocean of peacefulness in front of me! I am constantly trying to make the pot bigger so that it can contain more of His bliss. May Guruvayappan be with you all the time!
