Dear All,

 

A woman is the deepam or light of a home. Her strength often appears

as weakness. Her tears are often seen as sentimentalism. But behind

those river of tears, as the source of the river there is a Himalaya

mountain of strength. World often is unaware that in most of the

adverse situations women emerge out as the epitome of strength,

kindness, love and understanding . Of course, there are exceptions and

exceptions prove the rule.

 

When they cease to be like that, the home becomes dark. They have to

stand with strength at the entrance of the home to disperse the

unconditional love inside and outside alike. Who is providing this

strength? Devi, Shakthi, Lakshmi, Saraswathi, Kali, Durga- all

represents this chaitanyam. Here is a tribute to that Sakthi, Mother

of the Universe inside each woman who actually represents the SHAKTI

or DEVI of Lord Siva. Sri Sankaraacharyar says in the first sloka of

Soundarya Lahari :

 

SIVAH SAKTYA YUKTO YADI BHAVATI SAKTAH PRABHAVITUM

NA CED EVAM DEVO NA KHALU KUSALAH SPANDITUM API

ATAS TVAM ARADHYAM HARI HARA VIRINCADHIBHIR API

PRANANTUM STOTUM VA KATHAM AKRTAPUNYAH PRABHAVATI

 

Meaning:

 

Shiva, united with Shakti, becomes able to manifest,

If otherwise,this god knows not even how to pulsate,

How then could one of ungained merit be able to bow to, or even

praise,

One, such as You, adored even by Vishnu, Shiva and Brahma

blessings, and capitalises on them

 

A strong woman wears a look of confidence on her face…

But a woman of strength wears grace.

 

A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey…

But a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she

will become strong.
