Guest guest
Dear All, Cintunuation of 24 names, 24th name: " And for the success of what ever we do, (in all our everyday activities) pray Him as Maadhava " Let us look at different meanings given for Madhava. 1, Ma + Dhava = Lakhmi+ Lord or Master= Lord of Lakshmi 2. Ma+ Dhava= Knowledge + Lord= Lord of knowledge 3. Ma + Dhava= Maaya(illusion)+ Lord= Lord of maaya 4. Ma+ Dhava= Prakruthi or nature + Lord= Lord of Nature 5. Ma+ Dhava= No + Lord= One for whom there is no Lord or Lord of all (ma dhavah yasya sa: madhavah) 6. Ma+ Dha + Va = Mauna+ Dhyana + Yoga =One who is attained through Madhu vidya (sweet spiritual wisdom) through mouna (silence), dhyana (meditation) and yoga. 7.. One who is born in the race of Madhu, a Yaadava 8. One who is a silent observer or witness, a maunee Just by looking at all the meanings of this great name Madhava, we can see why we are advised to think of Vishnu Bhagavan as Madhava for the success of what ever we do, whenever we do and where ever we do. He is Lord of Lakshmi, Knowledge, Maaya, Nature, Spiritual wisdom and the Lord of all who is the eternal witness of all our pysical, mental and intellectual activities. We do not need any other explanation to establish the need for remembering Lord Madhava in every moment of our life. We need not stop any of our activities in daily life, but by incorporating the thought of him and remembering that it is by his mercy that we are maintained: obtain sufficient food, shelter, joy and enlightenment. " Om madhavo madhavo vaachi, madhavo madhavo hridi smaranti, sadhava: sarve sarva-karyeshu madhavam " " Lord Madhava is in one's words and Lord Madhava is in one's heart. All the saintly persons remember Lord Madhava, the husband of the goddess of fortune, in all their undertakings. " (Narasimha Purana) Let me conclude the last naamam with ekasloki Bhagavatham (bhagavatham in one slokam) and Akshtaakshari. Om Namo Narayanaya! Om Namo Narayanaya! Om Namo Narayanaya Aadou devakidevi garbha jananam, Gopee gruhe paalanam,Maayaa poothana jeevithaapaharanam, govardhanodhaaranam,Kamsa cchedana, kouravaadi hananam, kuntheesutha paalanam,Ethad bhaagavatham puraana kadhitham Sri Krishna leelaamrutham Born in the womb of Devaki,Grew up in the homes of gopis, stole the life of Poothana, the demoness,Lifted the Govardhana mountain,Beheaded Kamsa,Helped in killing the Kouravas,Protected the sons Kunthi This is in brief the story of Bhagawatha purana,Which describes the sweet pastimes of Sri Krishna.
