Guest guest
Krishna started to walk and run. Krishna is walking and his anklets sound and so do the bells on his girdle. This is compared by Periazvar to the walk of an elephant whose chains on its legs and the bells on its neck sound and the sweat on the body of Krishna due to exhaustion of walking for the first time is like the rut on the elephant. Krishna presents a beautiful picture with his teeth showing inside his red lips like the crescent moon and the necklace on his dark chest looks like a lightning on a dark cloud and he approaches his mother and gives her a kiss laughing loudly. Balarama goes in front, faster and Krishna follows him slowly with his baby walk. Seeing him Periazvar says that he has started to walk on the heads of his foes, that is , the avatarakarya has begun. His feet are marked with the conch on one foot and the disc on the other and when he walks the marks could be seen on the ground, and he creates floods of joy being the father of the god of love. Periazvar is concerned that his tender lotus-like feet should not get hurt when he walks in the street, his body covered with dust and wishes that he will walk on a bed of flowers strewn on the ground. Periazvar as Yasodha imagines that Krishna comes and embraces him. Krishna runs towards his mother with his ornaments sounding and shining looking like a dark cloud with lightening and slight thunder. He embraces with his hands that wield disc and conch and his hair loose and falling on his coral-like lips resembling bees that hover around the red flower to drink honey. Periazvar, as Yasodha, addresses Krishna mentioning his exploits calling him to come and embrace her. " You have caused the Mahabharatha war by going as a messenger of Pandavas and you danced on the five hooded poisonous serpent entering into the pool where he lived. You straightened the hunch of the girl who gave you the inguents in MaThura. When Duryodhana rose against his will but resumed his seat and tried to harm you and you frowned at him and destroyed the kouravas to lessen the burden of the earth by becoming the charioteer of Arjuna. In the sacrifice of Mahabali. When he was about to give you the dhaana, you pricked the eye of Sukra who tried to stop him and also threw Namuchi, the son of Mahabali when he tried to stop you from growing , into the sky. When the whole world was covered with darkness and the Vedas disappeared you appeared as the swan to recover the Vedas and destroy the darkness. " Periazvar imagines that Krishna comes and hugs his mother from behind. He enjoys the scene in the role of Yasodha. But being Periazvar, he describes Krishna referring to his role in the Mahabharatha war. Krishna destroyed Duryodhana, who refused to share the kingdom with the Pandavas, and his followers by becoming the charioteer of Arjuna. He appeared as Vamana and measured the whole world. " He is here coming as a child and hugs me from behind, " says Periazvar and describes his exploits in Gokula and Brindavan. Krishna inverts the mortar and climbs on it and devours milk and curd from the pot above. He also climbs on a sand hill and plays the flute while the devas and sages praise him. " Now he is coming and hugs me from behind. " Periazvar next refers to Krishna bringing the parijata tree for Bhama and planted it in her garden, vanquishing Indra who opposed it. With this the first decade of pasurams of Periazvar comes to an end.
