Prince Bharata's State of the Affairs Report should be an eye opener for our present leaders. I may not be qualified to comment but still I say, it is an example for the present India, that is Bharat and Kerala, God's own country. How many of our rulers (Indian)after Asoka (and Mahabali ) qualify to submit a similar Statement? When we see so many hungry opportunists craving for power, Bharatha's story is a relief. His total denial of the lifetime opportunity to devour the contents of the power platter is our bharathiya samskaaram. Bharatha ruled, by proxy, for 14 years and this " Bharatha raajyam " became the " Raamarajyam " later. It is interesting to note that Bharatha raajyam was the strong foundation of Raamaraajyam.
