Hariharji,

I had one of my daughter's chooroonu at guruvayoor years ago.

As i remember it, everything was provided by the administration for a

fixed donation. The participants will have to come in their

traditional attire such as (preferably) kasavu mundu and neriadu, for

the mother, kasavu mundu and melmundu for the father and a small size

mundu or dress for the child.

It is advisble to contact the administration in advance to confirm

the day and time. Normally it is done in the morning.

Jai Shree Krishna !

We had our son's choroonu recently and didn't book in advance. You need to have the kid in traditional dress and rest the temple administration took care. You cannot carry camera, but there is Devaswom photographers there who will courier you the photos for a fee. It was good service. For general annaprasana info, see link below.http://www.indianhindunames.com/annaprasana-food-feeding-ceremony.htm--- On Tue, 9/2/08, menon_sunil <menon_sunil wrote:menon_sunil <menon_sunil[Guruvayur] Annaprashanam - Pls read & replyguruvayur Date: Tuesday, September 2, 2008,
