OM NAMO NARAYANAYA

Dear all devotees,

I about to write you few weeks before regarding our trip to home in Thrissur (Kerala), Guruvayur visits and our daughter’s “Chorunu” function at Guruvayur. Unfortunately internet does not function steadily here, hence delay in writing. Also this week we shift to another apartment.

This time we had long holidays (40 days) in July and August. We spend most time with family members and temple visits during this time. This was our first visit after our daughter Gauri born in Baku (Azerbaijan) on March 10th.

We planned to give before July 20th as Gauri’s Chorunu function before departure from Baku. So we’ll get enough days (usually mother visit temple after baby’s Chorunu) for temple visits. But when we consult for a good day for chorunu (no need to look time if function in temple) astrologer advised best time is after 140 days born and before 168 days (6th month). So we had given Chorunu at Guruvayur temple on 30th July.

The function goes like these. Around 9 A.M. reach to temple east nada; enter though the gate near pool. Tickets available either in counter or the same place where conduct chorunu. Gauri wear pattu pavada and dress. Temple authorities gave us Choru, Papadam, Payasam etc. The place crowded with lot of people for chorunu function. I gave to Gauri rice and other things in presence of Guruvayurappan. All our family members gather there. After that one person (father or mother) with child allow to enter inside temple through separate gate. There is separate gate for ladies too. So if rush less at ladies gate, father can take child to inside and mother can enter thorough ladies gate.

We did like that.

We all had beautiful Darsan of “Kannan” and still it excels in our mind. We prayed for all our group members.

After all these we decided for Bharadevatha’s Darsan, visited Kottayam Edathil Bhagavathi and Mariyapilly Kottaram Velayudha Swami (Anjusha’s home). Next days Chittu vilakku at Dharma Daivam and Amballur Maha Devan temple (Sreekumar’s home) in Thrissur.

During these days we could able to attend Bhagavatha Sapthaham recited by Adv. T.R. Ramanathan in Mahadevan temple associated Prathishta Dina functions rituals in July.

Other happiest moments continues like talking with Sasi Kartha (Group Member) and his wishes for Gauri’s chorunu.

With prayers

Sree-Anju-Gauri
