Guest guest
Om Namo Narayanaya. Nama Japam - I[As a child Gandhiji was taught to say Rama Rama by his nurse whenever he felt afraid or miserable. He has said that repeating the nama since childhood had become second nature to him. He has however also pointed out that the only requirement is that the repetition must not be mere lip-service but must be part of your very being] Rama-nama (it could be Rama or Krishna or Govinda or Devi or Shiva – whatever appeals to you) is an alchemy such as can transform the body........it is in the power of Rama-nama alone to make....our lives... a running stream of ever-increasing spiritual strength ultimately making a fall impossible..... Just as the body cannot exist without blood, so the soul needs the matchless and pure strength of faith. This strength can renovate the weakness of all man’s physical organs.....When Rama-nama is enshrined in the heart, it means the rebirth of man. This law applies to the young and old, man and woman alike. ...one who has Rama enshrined in his heart will take His name with every breath. His Rama will be awake even when the body is asleep. Rama will always be with him in whatever he does. The real death for such a devotee will be the loss of this sacred companionship. ------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- -------From "The Way To God". M. K. Gandhi.
