Vasu also means wealth and the Lord is the greatest wealth. Vastha duhkham yena thath vasuH and in this sense the Lord is vasu because the devotee is able to destroy the prohibitive propensities earned through several births which are harmful to his acts of merits,through devotion. 106. Vasumanaah Vasu , the word that denotes wealth also implies abundance, or praasasthyam, glorious. The Lord is having praasasthyam manah in as much as He considers His devotees as His wealth. 107. Sathyah Sathsu saadhuh. well disposed towards the pious. The Lord is also Sathya in the common sense of the term as He is avithatha, true reality. 'sathyam jnaanam anantham brahma. He is the existence, knowledge and bliss. SathyaH is also explained as praana anna adhithyarupathvaath sathyah. Sath is prana because it denotes life or existence thi means anna, food and ya stands for aadhithya, Sun. He is the life of all beings ,praana, sustains all, annam and illuminates everything like the Sun, dhivaakara. Hence He is sathya. 108. Samaathma He is the Self in all beings equally, samaanarupena sarvapraanihrdhayeshu varthamaana aathmaa and to whom all are equal, ' samoham sarvabhootheshau,'- (Gita 9-29) 109. Sammithah He who has been rightly understood to be the one and only one. maa, to measure and mitha is one whois measured or understood. ekee bhaava eva maanam yasya saH sammithaH. He is cognized as only one as the Upanishad says, sadheva soumya idham agra aaseeth ekameva adhvitheeyam. The sath alone existed in the beginning , one only without a second. The word sath denotes Brahman, viz Narayana. 110. Samah He is of uniform disposition, samaanam maanam yasya sa, changeless at all times. 'Samathvam yoga uchyathe.' (Gita-2-48) Also, mayaa saha varthathe ithi samah, always manifest with Lakshmi, maa meaning Lakshmi. 111. Amoghah Not futile. Sathya sankalpah. He gives all when worshipped or praised or remembered. 112. Pundareekaakshah Pundareekam is hrdhayam. Tham asnuthe, He who pervades the lotus of the heart. Pundarika also means the transcendental world, vaikunta. He is like the eye, aksha for the residents of Vaikunta. Pundareeka meaning lotus , the Lord has eyes like lotuses. 113.Vrshakarmaa He is the sustainer of all righteous actions, vrshakarma, vrsha meaning dharma. 114. Vrshakrthih Dharmaakrthih. Embodiment of dharma. cf. Ramo vigrahavaan dharmah. As vrsha also means sprinkling His acts, krthi , are like showers of nectar that puts out the thaapathrayaadhi, the three torments of the samsara, physical and mental, that from outside forces, and that due to supernatural forces.
