Dear all,

This is an interesting native American story.

Once a grandfather was telling stories to his grandchildren. So he asked the children whether they wanted to listen about a fight of two wolves. They all said in one tone " yes " .

He said that the fighting of the two wolves were happening inside him. " Children, there is a terrible fight going on between the two wolves. One wolf is very evil- he is the personification of anger, jealousy, arrogance, greed, false pride, laziness and selfishness. The other wolf is good natured and showed love, kindness, patience, benevolence, humility, compassion and consideration in it's behaviour. " He added that this type of fight goes inside every person. Then he paused.

They listened to it and thought about the story for a while and before he could finish the rest of the story, asked the grandfather: " Grandpa, we are curious to know which wolf will win at the end? "

Grandfather replied promptly: " The one you feed " and did not say anything more.

Younger children did not understand and wanted explanation and grandfather heard his eldest grandchild telling the younger ones: " You know, grandfather is telling us that if we let our evil qualities grow, they will kill all the good qualities in us and we will be full of evil qualities and nobody will like us. So it is better to feed the good qualities and let them grow and kill all the " bad guys " and make us the best children whom our grandfather will be proud of "

Grandfather's joy knew no bounds! He saw God in them and went to bed and children saw God in their grandfather and went to bed!

Regards and prayers
