175. mahothsaahah-(aisvarya)

 

uthsaaha is enthusiasm. He lords over the five elements with enthusiasm.Aisvarya , over -lordship is denoted. ucchaih saahaH uthsaahaaH. Height of endurance. Mahaan saahah yasya saH mahothsaahaH.One who supports the universe.

 

176. mahaabalah-(bala)

 

yadhyadhbalam yasya jagathprasidDham that thath balam thasya mahaabalasya- Whatever steength or power is seen in mighy entities, the Lord is the giver of strength.. That is, He is the real power behind anything that is endowed with power or strength, whether it is Dhanabalam, senaabalam, annabalam, yogabalam etc.. In Gita the Lord Himself says, balam balavathaam asmi.

 

177. mahaabudDhiH-(jnana)

 

Wherever the buddhithathva is manifest that is only the manifestation of the Lord as jnaansvarupa.

He is mahA-buddhi because His knowledge doesnot depend on His sense organs or any external help. He sees and hears and senses all at the same time with any of His organs. The Upanishad says,

paSyat_yacakshuh sa SRNoti

akarNah - He sees without eyes and hears without ears. The manthrajapadha sthothram on Narsimha refers to His nama as sarvathomukha facing everything everywhere, and explains that He knows everything without the need of indhriyas.' Sarvendhriyaih api vinaa sarvam sarvathra sarvadhaa yo jaanaathi namaami adhyam tham aham sarvathomukham.'

 

 

178. mahaaveeryaH- (veerya)

 

He is of great virility. He is able to activate everything by His presence. Veerya is His creatve energy from which the whole universe was created.

 

 

 

179. mahaaSakthih –(Sakthi)

 

He is omnipotent, being the material and efficient cause of everything.

 

180. mahaa dhyuthih-(tejas)

 

He is self –luminous, svayam jyothiH, by whose luminosity everything else shines. He is referred to in the Upanishads as svayam jyothiH , self illumined and jyothishaam jyothiH, the light of all lights.

 

181. anirdhesyavapuh

 

His form is indescribable and incomparable because it is not made of five elements.He is all pervading and hence His form cannot be defined, cosmic body.

 

182. Sreemaan

 

His glory or beauty encompasses the whole universe.

 

183.ameyaathmaa

 

Incomprehensible nature. He cannot be comprehended because the instruments of cognition function through His power. As one whis in the ocean cannot measure it and one in space cannot size it, the Lord cannot be estimated by His own creations which are within Him.

 

184.mahaadhridhrk

 

He is the one who supported the big mountain. This implies the Lord holding the manthara mountain as Koorma and also the govardhana as Krishna.
