Bhakthi literature in Tamil is abundant and wonderful. If somebody can translate and circulate Divya Prabhandham it will be great. Nammalvar and Andal have written great poems in praise of the Lord. The other day I was reading Subrahmania Bharathi's "Kannan en Sevakan" and I could not proceed since tears blocked my vision. Imagine Kannan coming as a servant and does the household work. They ask him where do you come from and to what caste you belong, he says he came from somewhere and he belongs to cowherds caste (idayan) he was asked what all work he can do in the household and Kannan replies. Similarly Bharathiyar visualises Kannan as a lover, Kannan as leader etc. But only those who are blessed with the knowledge in Tamil can enjoy all these wonderful creations. --- On Fri, 21/11/08, Krishnapriya
