What all happening is is the resuilt of all of our karmas and we can't escape from that. What you mentioed is very correct that if all of fus follow KRISHNA's saying in geetha we have a good life. Rember that geethopadesh was given to PARTHAN during a simillar situation to provoke him to fight against ADHARMA. That is what we all shall follow now. What we lack is pure people at the level of administration. How Raja is and Praja will be like that. What is the biggest challage we face now. Fortunately or unfortunately we live in democracy and we are the people who elect our "Kings". Without purification at that level nothing will happen. But how many people in the developing countries adhere to that ? We are too lazy and lethargic to react to any calamity that occur.Instead of facing the situation, we blame it on Kali Yuga and expect God to reincarnate and do the fighting for us. Basically we are cowards who do not have the nerve to face realities. From time immemorial , from Alexander, Baber, Tippu Sultan , The British, Dutch, Portugese and what have you, to the present Mujahadins, foreigners have terrorized the nation. Not at any one time have we stood together in unity to fight off the enemy; rather there was only infighting among us due to selfishness and pure greed. There are reports that the authorities had clear and specific advance warnings about the Mumbai attacks but no one responded in time. We can not expect Bhagavan Sree Krishna to perform the day-to-day duties of our Rulers and Citizens. By His personal example, Bhagavan showed us all the duties and responsibilities of both Raja and Praja . As an Administrator, Krishna had taken timely and decisive action to elimimate potential sources of Terrorism and mass destruction . See, how He annihilated the Demons and how He took proactive action to finish-off mighty threats like Jarasandha , Karna and Duryodhana . When an Adharmic enemy is determined to create havoc , pre-emptive action must be taken to annihilate him who is not eligible for any Dharmic consideration . Unfortunately , the weak and athistic Adminsitrators of India have never bothered to follow Krishna's personal example . Therefore they have been exposing their innocent subjects to the fury of invading Terrroists . All what we can do is to be more close to Bhagavan Sree Krishna and do extra "Nama-japam" . I am remined of Sarada Deviji's words and those help me to think positively at this extremely sad moement. Poojya Sarada Devi told once: " Past sins can be countered by meditation, Japa and spiritual thoughts. The result of Karma is inevitable. But by repeating the Name of God, you can lessen its intensity. If you were destined to have a wound as wide as a ploughshare, you will end up getting a pin-prick . The effect of Karma can be counteracted to a great extent by Japa and austerities. " They were planning to kill 5000 people in this seige. But becasue of the daily prayers of all the well wisher's of this world, irrespective of religion and nationality, this ended with the loss of 200 precious lives. This is not enough to console the grief of the victims and their families. Along with taking toughest material measures to protect the innocent and punish those who deserve punishment, we should counteract the effects of bad karmas by naama sankeerthanam and prayers.
