Guest guest
Dear Readers, Hare Krishna! Please find attached with this mail, latest issue of THT-Volume 2; Issue 22, tittled ''Purifier of the Ganges! " " ...Whoever touches the water of the Ganges to his head surely touches the lotus feet of the Lord directly and can become free from all effects of sinful acts.... If after taking a bath in the Ganges or being washed of all sins, a man guards himself against committing further sinful acts, then certainly he is delivered. But if he again takes up sinful activities, his bath in the Ganges is as good as that of the elephant, who nicely takes his bath in a river but later spoils the whole thing by covering himself with dust on the land...But have anyone thought of who purifies Mother Ganges? She purifies all sinful men and takes their sins on her head but how she gets purified? The answer to this question is also given in the Vedic Scriptures... The Great Service you people are doing cannot be imagined even in dreams. I am sure Srila Prabhupada would be very very pleased to see the youths of India (which he always dreamed of) preaching in such a manner and using the technology in Krishna's service. By this service of yours, certainly the inventors of computers and internet would get some unknown sukriti. Jai Srila Prabhupada! Haribol! -- Bhakta Das, Beijing, China We thank all our dear readers to send your feedbacks. With Thanks & Regards,THT magazine Committee At the present moment we are the slaves of our senses. When our senses dictate, " Give me this or give me that " , we dutifully accommodate them. What we fail to realize is that the senses are not us and that satisfying them therefore does not satisfy us. If we want actual happiness, we should limit the senses to what they actually need not giving them everything for which they feel greed. In this way we can channel the major portion of our serving propensity towards the Supreme Person, the source of all existence. When we water the root of a tree all the leaves and branches. Similarly when we serve the Original Person we become fully satisfied and we give full satisfaction to all living beings.
