244. suprsaadhaH

 

The Lord says in Gita that Prsadha is the state of peace. It happens when there is only satva in the mind and hence the word prasadha signifies sathvaguna. The Lord is pure sathva and pervades the whole universe.

 

Prasadha also means the grace of the Pord and He is called suprasadha because He showers His grace on all.Even His retribitution is for redemption.

 

245. prasannaathmaa

 

Being of pure sathva He is clear minded. It also means that He is always full of joy. Aanandhasvarupa.

 

246. viSvasrg

 

viSvam srjati ithi visvasrjgh- The creator of the world.

 

247. viSvabhuk

 

viSvam bhunkthe paalayathi ithi- The Lord protects the world and also the real enjoyer of the universe. Gita says, `updhrshtaa anumanthaa cha bharthaa bhokthaa maheSvaraH,' The Lord is the spectator, approver , supporter and experiencer. The Lord is the experiencer becaue He is the innerself of all without whom there could be no experience.

 

`Yasya brahma cha kshathracha ubhe bhavathi odhanaH;mrthyuH yasya upasEchanam,' declares Katopanoshat.

`to whom bi ot brhamana and kshathriya become the food and the death itself is the side dish.' This refers to the time of annihilation of the universe when all beings denoted by Brahmaana and Kshathriya are the food and n mrthyu is the side dish nmeaninf that the food is taken , that is the universe is eaten up by means of death, which is described as the side dish.

 

Hence the word viSvabhuk may also mean the Lord as the annihilator.

 

248. vibhuH

 

viviDham bhavathi ithi vibhuH- He manifests in all forms, brahmaadhi sthamba paryantham, from the creator Brahma down to a blade of grass.

 

249.sathkarthaa

 

The word sathkaara means honouring.The Lord honours the good. Sathkarothi sathaam. Since He does good to all it goes without saying that He honours the good by dhandapoopikaa nyaya, which means that when the stick is used too scare the crows all the other birds naturaaly are driven away.

 

250. sathkrtaH

 

He is worshipped by the good. We see that the veil minded like he asuras do not worship Narayana. They resort to others only because when devoton to Natyana enters the mind there can be no evil thouth there.

251. saDhuH

 

saaDhnothi viSvasarjanaatmakam karma He accomplishes th creation of the Universe etc. and krtham jagath sahajasvabhaavena gamayathi ithi sustains and guideds the universe with His soulabhya, easy accessibility.

To His devotees He is saaDhu because He cariies out what ever they tellHIm like going as a messenger, acting as the charioteer etc.

 

252. jahnuH

 

`ha' means to forsake. Abhaktheshu aathmaamaahaathmyam apahnuthe. Bhaktheshu jahaathi dhoshaan ithi

 

The Lord conceals His real nature from the non-devotees while he removes the faults of His devotees.

 

253. naaraayaNaH

 

naraaNaam ayanaH, Naaraah ayanam asya ithi vaa. Ayanam means abode. Naaraah menas the thathvas starting from mahat from which the ahankaras and thnamathras down to the gross world have been created. The three gunas are the constituents of prakrthi the combination of which all thathvass vcame about. The Lord is the abode of the thathvas, naaraas, from whom everything came and into whom everything merge in the end.

 

Also the naaraas are His abode as He has ebtered into everything as their inner self.

Yasya kimcit jagat sarvam dRSyate Srooyathepi vA |

antar-bahiSca tath-sarvam vyaapya naaraayaNah sthitah

 

Whatever object there is in the Universe that is seen or heard, narayaNa is pervading all that, both inside and outside.

 

 

254. naraH

nayathi ithi naraH. One who leads . Also means one who is imperishable. And has imperishable possessions , meaning the seb ntient and insentient beings which are rel in visishtadvaita, being the sareera od the Lord.

Like the stream of the river He leads the universe in all it activities.
