slokas in malayalam

I am a member of this group. I have noticed several times that all the

pdf attachments are in malayalam. Can the moderators of the group

please request members to send attachments in english also, so that,

people like me who don't know malayalam can also be benefited by the

slokas and other news.

Dear Shantiji,

 

I understand your point.

 

In the past it was difficult to type and have anything in Malayalam or

Tamil and finally the technology has emerged to meet that need. That

is one reason you see many more vernacular documents now than in the

past. And to majority of devotees, it is a very good news as they are

comfortable writing and reading in their mother tongue than English.

 

However, we do have many members who can't read Malayalam or

Tamil- so let me address your concern and do something about it.

 

-- First of all, please note that almost all slokas and prayers are in

English and availbale on the net, so, it cant be too tough to find

the English version of anything compared to Malayalam or Tamil version.

 

Please send a email to the group what you need in English and most

likely someone will search and find it for you within a day.

 

-- Secondly, let us suggest all members - IF POSSIBLE, please send both English

and Malayalam versions of documents. (manglish will do)

 

--- Thirdly, I REQUEST ALL OF YOU who have time to convert the

Malayalam or Tamil documents to English. It will be a great service

not only to Guruvayur group members but for the rest of the world as

well.

 

Now, this goes for the opposite as well.. Someone can take up the task

of converting English documents and articles to Malayalam as well.

 

Many of our devotees are not very comfortable with English and it will

be so nice if we can have Malayalam or Tamil equivalent of the English

articles/slokas etc.

 

So, as a group let us solve this issue for good.
