Guest guest
3.sampathsu mahathaam chittham bhavathi uthpalakomalam aapathsu cha mahaaSailaSilaasanghaatha karkaSam The mind of great men becomes tender like the lotus but during calamities it is hard as a collection of mountainrocks. sampathsu- in good fortune mahathaam chittham – the mind of the great bhavathi becomes komalam- tender or soft uthpala- lotus aapathsu- in calmities karkasam – rough or hard sanghaatha- collection or assemblage Silaa- stone or rock mahaaSaila –great mountain. The great people who are great not by achievement or power but by their nobility of character, are very soft when they are in good fortune. They do not get arrogant but see their fortune as the gift of the Lord and feel humble. They also share their good fortune being kind hearted. They show their tenderness of heart not only in their prosperity but also in that of others and really feel happy when others are happy. On the other hand when there is calamity their heart looks as though it is made of stone , meaning, they face it with enormous strength and do not lose heart. Even in the event of a calamity to others they stand as a rock of support.
