Guest guest
OM NAMO NARAYANAYA Dear Gurudevs , It was one of my life ambitions to visit the Kashi Vishwanath Mandir at Varanasi and to do Sradh to all my ancestors , and to all the departed souls in my knowledge . I could go there in the last week of January in connecion with the NDA interview of my Son. But the experience at Varanasi was quite horrible . Un hygenic surroundings , Priests all set to exploit and blackmail the devottees , business minded shop keepers and greedy guides. To add oil to the fire , the security personnel are quite rude . The priests inside the Mandir won't oblige any devottee unless and until some money is put in to the tray kept in front of them . If we won't pay money NO PARSHAD OR THEERTHAM - Any how we managed to get out of the clutches of these greedy people but had a very good Darshan at the temple and have done Sradham to all the departed souls without much damage. In this connection , the systematic arrangements of Kerala Temples has to be lauded . We used to Visit Thirunnavaya on the banks of the NILA River to perform the Sradham every year during our vaccation and we won't have to spend not more than Rs.300 for this where as the Pandits at Varanasi were demanding upto Rs.5001 as Dakshina to perform the rituals!!!!!!!! Any how I have the consolation that I could visit the KASHI VISHWANATHAN which I could cherish for ever. Gopalakrishnan
Guest guest
Dear Gopal ji You are absolutely right.... Most of the pilgrim/tourist places in north india are in the same fold... We can't even feel bhakti in these places due to these kind of rough handlings and the dirtly surroundings....
