There is honey at the tip of the tongue but in his heart there is terrible poison like haalahala. A person with bad intention may appear to be a fiend and speak pleasingly. But his heart belies his tongue. Guileless people may fall for the rap and believe him to their own disaster. Anyone who tempts us along the wrong path uses sweet words to make it appear as though they have only our welfare at heart. But it is to satisfy their purpose which proves to be detrimental to the listener who follows their advice. Sakuni, Manthara, Surpanakha were all example sof this kind of dhurjanas . Duryodhana believing that Sakuni wa advising him for his own good met with disaster. So were Kaikeyi who listened to Manthara in good faith and Ravana who was tempted by Surpanakha to abduct Seetha. But purely good soul who has some discrimination will not succumb to the sweet words of such people. He could see whether the other person is k honest or not.
