Dear all,

Navaneetham is indeed a marvellous work put together by the devotees and my paranamams to all those who contributed to this.

Congratulations Veenaji! Its good to see someone getting the reward after all the hardwork.

Chithpuramji,Thanks for putting those pictures with Shri KVG. Please forgive me if I sound like a critic.Your travelogue was indeed a nice description but I felt that the font used was a bit difficult to read. But again, its just my personal opinion only and didnt mean to find fault with your dedication.

Hari Govind !

While I just could go through the magazine  fast as i was running short of time for a detailed reading (which I shall definitely be doing), i cannot miss to say here that Smt. Savithriji's (letter to Kannan) was superb!  What a realistic one, it is!

It was nice to see KVG sir too through the pictures (though both of us live in the same city).

Sunil Menon, as the solo editor, has done it again in-spite of the recession period (as said by Shri Balagopal) living through very strenuous and stressful days, in the midst celebrating Aarna's 2nd birthday, besides other personal and family matters. Latest Navaneetham is quite amazing. Recently elevated to the new status, Grandmother's (Shrimathi Savithri Puram) letter to Kannan (maatha mahithvam), travelogue or In pursuit of.. by Grandfather (Shri Chithpuram) are really very good. They two are really blessed by the birth of their grand daughter Parvathi, whose birth-star falls on Ashtami-Rohini, same as Lord Krishna, though in a different month. Also I owe my gratitude to Shri Chithpuram, for posting picture of my G, (our KVGji) at Bangalore, whom I have not met so far. Thank you Shri Chithpuram. I liked your participation in Vettakkaruman paattu and the picture depicting the KaLam ezhuthu which is

fantastic. In my village, Pallassana we have a temple for Vettakkaruman and for the past few years, Vettakkaruman paattu is being conducted though I have not been blessed to be part of it. We address the Deity as Vettakku oru makan, Vettakkaruman, Kiraatha Moorthy, etc. all are attributed to Lord Shiva. We recite the sloka at the temple " Naarayanante sakhiyaakiya paandavante, bhaaricha dhurmadham adakki varam koduppaan, kiratha vesha dharanaakiya chandra-choodan, kaarunyam ennil aruleeduka sarva kaalam" that came to my mind instantly on reading the article and seeing the picture. Thanks for that too. The rest contributors deserve special praise and appreciation for their articles. Thank you all, specially to Sunil Menon for a job well done.

By the by, next issue of our Navaneetham, we will be celebrating its 3rd birthday and urge good participation from all specially from many of our silent members.

Belated birthday wishes to Aarna. May Guruvayoorappan bless her.

When I wrote earlier, I forgot to write about Chitpuramji's article and photos with KVGji. As mentioned, we could all see KVGji. As said by Chandraji, Chitpuramji's writings about kalam pattu brought a lot of fond memories, because I used to see Kalampattu every year for about 23 years, now I miss all that here. The writing brought back all those nostalgic memories, the pattu, breaking of coconuts and everything marvellous. Thanks a ton for that.
