Dear all ,

Sri Rabindranath Tagore , the Nobel Prize winner and author of India's national anthem; was also renowned for his spiritual attributes . Tagoreji popularly called "Gurudeva" agreed with Swamy Vivekananda and Maharishi Arbindo that India's life-breath is Vedic faith ; and any harm to it will ruin India .

Sri Tagore once said, "Two or three different religions claim that only their own religions are true and all other religions are false and their religions are only ways to Heaven. Hence conflict with them cannot be avoided. Such, fundamentalism tries to abolish all other religions. This is called Bolshevism in religion." [Essay "Atma Parichay"].

On another occasion, Tagore said [in a letter to Sri Kalidas Nag, in Complete Works of Rabindranath (Bengali), Viswabharati University, 1982, 24:375, tr. author] :

"There are two religions on the earth, which have distinct enmity against all other religions. These two are Christianity and Islam. They are not satisfied with just observing their own religions, but are determined to destroy all other religions. That's why the only way to make peace with them is to embrace their religion."

Tagore also observed [interview of Rabindranath, Times of India, April 18, 1924] :

"A very important factor which is making it almost impossible for Hindu-Muslim unity to become an accomplished fact is that the Muslim can not confine their patriotism to any one country. I had frankly asked the Muslims whether in the event of any Mohammedan power invading India, would they stand side by side with their Hindu neighbors to defend their common land or join the invaders. I was not satisfied with the reply I have obtained from them….. Even such a man as Mr. Mohammed Ali (one of the famous Ali brothers, the leaders of the Khilafat Movement) has declared that under no circumstances it is permissible for any Mohammedan, whatever be his country, to stand against any Mohammedan".

Gurudeva Tagore was honest in his assessment about the anti-vedism that was polluting the independent India . Gandhiji strongly urged to prohibit religious conversion . Unfortunately, selfish Hindu-born rulers rejected this wise advice and facilitated mass conversion from Hindu religion thereby destabilizing the ancient nation .

Prediction in Bhagavatham

Srimad Bhagavatham ( 12.1.37 – 41) :

" The land along the Sindhu River (Pakistan) , as well as the districts of Chandrabhaga (Iran) , Kaunti ( Afghanistan) , and Kashmir will be ruled by Sudras , degraded Brahmins and Meat-eaters . Having given up the path of Vedic civilization, they will have lost all spiritual strength. There will be many such uncivilized Rulers ruling at the same time and they will all be uncharitable, possessed of fierce tempers, and followers of irreligion and falsity . These barbarians in the guise of Rulers will devour the citizenry, murdering innocent women, children, cows and Brahmins and coveting the wives and property of other men. They will be erratic in their moods, have little strength of character and be very short-lived. Indeed, not purified by any Vedic rituals and lacking in the practice of regulative principles, they will be completely covered by the modes of passion and ignorance. The citizens governed by these low-class Rulers will imitate the character, behavior and speech of their Rulers. Harassed by their Leaders and by each other, they will all suffer ruination."
