Guest guest
Ezhikode Krishnadas Namboothiri is taking over for six months as the melsanthi of Guruvayoor temple. He was till now the melsanthi of Pavakkulam Mahadeva Temple in Kaloor in Ernakulam. Just at the young age of 37 years he has mastery over the puja procedures as laid down by tanthric scriptures. He was selected from among 46 contestants of equal scholarship. He considers it a boon to have come to worship Bhagawan Krishna from close quarters and to do service to the Bhagawan daily in the puja rituals. Although for the six months commensing from 1st April he will have to be completely confined to the temple(purappadaa santhi) and not even to visit his home, he takes it as a blessing. Many representatives of social, cultural, religious organisation and the temples located in the city gave him a grand reception and send off. He requested all his friends and well wishers to come to guruvayoor and get the blessings of the Lord. Ramachandra Menon
