Guest guest
HARI AUM Run, catch and eat the Othikkan - 'Kshetrapalan''s (seen at the north eastern side of the 'pradikshanavzhi') terrifying murderous intentions drives the whole team conducting the 'Shree Bhoothabali' (part of 'Udaysthamana puja) run around the temple, practically in one breath by the last and fourth round. Most of us must have seen this, practically wondering, why even the elephant carrying Bhagavan, the drummers and the whole lot does this race in such frenetic pace??? Smt Pepita Seth's 'Heaven on Earth' lets one have a peep into these and more of rituals which seems totally out of this world. Even the wildest fantasies are humbled with these rituals at Guruvayur. To a devotee it all adds up to awe and wonder. Thanks Sunilji for the initiative and Panickerji, Veenaji and all others who stuck their necks out and made the book affordable to most in this blessed group.
