Nectarean Mellows As we become more advance in Krsna consciousness, it is not that we know everything and we just speak and we don’t want to hear from anyone else; it is the opposite. If we are actually making advancement, we are getting the taste in hearing about Krsna, we want to hear it again and again and again, we are eager to learn, we are eager to inquire so that message would be broadcasted again and again. Srimad Bhagavatam describes that whatever our particular varna and asrama or duty; the success of our life is when we develop the taste of hearing about Krsna. Therefore we find that even Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu was inquiring from Ramananda Raya, He wants to hear about Krsna from such a personality. There is a beautiful story. So there was a devotee, great devotee, his name was Pradyumna Misra and when Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu was living in Jagannatha Puri, he approached Him at the Gambhira and said to Lord Caitanya that I am very eager to know about Lord Krsna, please tell me about Krsna. Lord Caitanya was humble, in a role of a devotee He is demonstrating us how we should always be thinking that others are greater than ourselves, this is how we can please Krsna. Lord Caitanya said actually I do not know about Krsna, this is a very high topic for Me, but I know someone who really can tell you the greatest shower of nectar of Krsna, his name is Sri Ramananda Raya, you should go to him, I, Myself, I am his student, whatever I know about Krsna, I have learnt from him, please go, he will tell you about Krsna. Then Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu said to this brahmana, He said you are so fortunate, you are truly blessed by the Lord because you have the eagerness to hear about Krsna, such great fortune has been bestowed upon you, you want to hear about Krsna, now you go to Ramananda Raya tell him that I have sent you. So he went to the place of Ramananda Raya, he met Ramananda Raya’s servant, he said that Ramananda Raya has just gone out for his service, I will tell him that you have come just wait here. Pradyumna Misra asked what is Ramananda Raya doing, what is his service? He said there are two beautiful young girls who are called Devi Dasis and Ramananda Raya has written a beautiful drama, Jagannatha Vallabha, in which he is revealing the pastimes of the spiritual world, Goloka Vrindavana, these two girls are playing the part of the gopis and he is teaching them in every way in how to please Lord Krsna. He bathes their body with his own hand, he massages them, he teaches them how to exhibit ecstatic symptoms, he teaches them how to sing and how to dance. Ramananda Raya performs this service all day and when he has finished he sends the two Devi Dasis home. And the servant said that there is someone here that has come to visit you, immediately Ramananda Raya came, Ramananada Raya bowed down to Pradyumna Misra with folded hands, he said my servant just told me that you came, I have kept you waiting, please forgive me, how can I serve you? Pradyumna Misra saw that it was already evening and it was time to leave, so he just said that I have just come to see you, thank you very much and then he left. He went to Gambhira to visit Lord Caitanya, Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu immediately asked did you hear about Krsna from Ramananada Raya, he said no, he was too busy. ‘What was he doing?’ And he explained to Lord Caitanya the activities of Ramananda Raya in the relationship to these beautiful young Devi Dasis, how he is training them and preparing them in a secluded place. Now Lord Caitanya was the crest jewel of all the sannyasis, He is in the renounced order, when He heard this, he became very happy. He said I am a sannyasi, in a renounced order of life, if I even hear the name of a woman, if I see a wooden form of a woman something happens in my mind that causes Me to change, but Ramananda Raya he can be touching them, he can be engaged in these types of activities with them intimately and yet his mind is not the slightest bit changed, it is just as if he was touching a piece of wood because he is so deeply situated in experiencing the higher taste of bhakti. The pleasures of this world does not mean, absolutely nothing to him. Actually Lord Caitanya explains that when Ramananda Raya is performing these activities he is actually performing his own services that he performs in the spiritual world, he is the gopi named Vaishaka and this is his service to Radha and Krsna in Goloka Vrindavana is to prepare other gopis to dance and sing for the pleasure of Radha and Krsna, so he is actually in his spiritual consciousness, eternally he is in his form in the spiritual world performing his services. H H Radhanath Swami Maharaj .. -- Take advantage of this rare opportunity of this human form of life. There are 8,400,000 different species of life through which we are rotating lifetime after lifetime. So getting a human body is not an every day affair. This most auspicious opportunity only comes after many millions of lifetimes in the lower species. Anyone who does not utilize their human life for self-realization is making the greatest mistake. When this happens it is the greatest tragedy, and unfortunately today this neglect of the human form has become the standard behavior for the entire human society. What can be done? We must first ourselves become solidly situated in Krishna consciousness and then do the highest welfare activity of spreading to everyone else all over the world.Chant:Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare HareHare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare Explore and discover exciting holidays and getaways with India Travel Click here!
