Difference between most of the spiritual movements and a true parampara..……….…...... Nectarean Mellows

A pure devotee, that means, one who really understands the truth and how to live by it, executes devotional service by giving the greatest respect to the spiritual master and the acaryas. Herein Srila Prabhupada is so nicely explaining how the spiritual master is one who is repeating the message of Krsna through disciplic succession and when we make that connection to the spiritual master then we make a connection to all the great personalities within that disciplic succession. This is the difference between most of the spiritual movements today and a true parampara. A personality cult, they may say, where one person may be very learned or may have some special powers of mysticism, may be very, very powerful or charismatic, able to aspire others, sometimes very expertly exploit others,

but such a person, his or her creditability is based on their own merit, whether they are right or wrong, in their conclusions, where they going to take you or how they going to take you, that is based on their own conception and we simply have to have faith in what they say. Therefore Krsna in Bhagavad-Gita rejects this conception, ‘if you want to understand Me as I am’; ‘you have to hear through disciplic succession’. He begins the disciplic succession and those who preserve His teachings through their life and through their works are the actually representations of this representatives of the disciplic succession.

-- Take advantage of this rare opportunity of this human form of life.  There are 8,400,000 different species of life through which we are rotating lifetime after lifetime. So getting a human body is not an every day affair. This most auspicious opportunity only comes after many millions of lifetimes in the lower species. Anyone who does not utilize their human life for self-realization is making the greatest mistake. When this happens it is the greatest tragedy, and unfortunately today this neglect of the human form has become the standard behavior for the entire human society. What can be done? We must first ourselves become solidly situated in Krishna consciousness and then do the highest welfare activity of spreading to everyone else all over the world.

Chant:Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare HareHare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare
