One may try online booking...http://www.hotelskerala.com/guruvayoor/guruvayur_hotels.html which provide choices from budget (Rs. 108 to Rs. 400 range) to premium hotels. I have not tried the above but it should work. If anyone has tried and got rejection due to single status (when they have an option to book single room), please share the rejection email/correspondence, and maybe we should inform the tourism board.Please book 1 to 2 weeks in advance, and one may also give a call to the hotel to avoid any disappointments.The below ones offer

I checked with couple oflodges, all in turn refused, saying that they have taken a uniform policyof not providing room for any single.With Guruvayoorappan' s guidance, I said that I am not from Kerala and I hadnot known the rules and that I have no other choice and had shown myidentity card (PAN Card) etc. when probably they were convinced; I couldget a room there.
