Guest guest
Hari-Om What a mgnificant sight ! I have seen only the dry bed of Bharthapuzha and always wondered what it would have been in the early days. Now that it flows at full force, at least temporarily, it is a real Marvel ! Thanks for the pictures. Has anyone wondered why the State and central govt, authorities are not interested in tapping these water sources by constructing a dam and store the millions of cu, ft, of this excess water for use during post monsoon season ? Is it because the politicians are naive or lethargic or is it because by creating scarcity, they can add fuel to the fire of interstate war on rights of Kavery waters ? Strange indeed ! Guruvayoorappa, please please let these greedy politicians see the light of the day, In this respect the British Raj did a better job than our Desi Dupes. jai shree krishna ! Velliankallu regulator is located near Thrithala4-5 km downstream from Pattambi. With out that dam Nila will be lean like an anorexic women! Hare Krishna!
