Request anybody to clear my small doubt.

What is actually Mupatthu Thingalaycha..(30th Monday,30 Friday...) why does people fast on that day? How is it calculated?

I had a feeling that Malayala masam 30th day if coming on monday is called Mupatthu thingalaycha and etc., But yesterday some known person told me that yesterday was Mupatthu Thingalaycha, but yesterday was 1st day of Chinghyam... therefore request to clear my doubts..

Dear Geethaji,

All the seven days of the first week of a month is called muppattu azhcchaas. For example, Chinga maasam started yesterday and yesterday was muppaattu thinkalaazhccha. Today is muppattu chovvaazhccha. Tomorrow is muppattu budhanaazhccha. Like this, including next Sunday is muppattu. Then next Monday onwards it is only " പോകàµà´•àµÂ à´¤à´¿à´™àµà´•à´³à´¾à´´àµà´šÂ Â  " etc until the first seven days of Kanni maasam.

Regards and prayers
