Guest guest
Dear KVGji and other Gurudevs,This famous traditional song is popularly sung starting with " kani kaanunneram kamala nethrante ... " However I have seen in more than one place that it actually begins as follows narakavairiyaam- aravavindaakshantecheriya naalatthe kalikalum thirumey sobhayum karuthikkooppunnenatutthu vaa krishna ! kani kaanmaan kani kaanunneram kamala netrante.... It appears logical that this bhajana begins as shown above. This is available in the book " Sandhayadeepam " a book compiled by Sri T. P. Balakrishnan Nair. Sri Nair has not mentioned the name of any author for this bhajana. His book contains an excellent over and detailed (32 pages) view of " Bhaktiyogam and Kirtanas. " This book was out of print for several years and has been reprinted again by Mathrubhumi and will be an excellent addition (I do not know Sri Nair and have no vested interest) to the collection of a devotee. If not, at least one may want to read the review article. Hari Om!Chith K. Puram CKPOn Sun, Aug 23, 2009 at 11:54 PM, K.V Gopalakrishna <gopalakrishna.kv wrote: Dear all, Radhe Krishna! Guest guest
Dear शंकरा and other members of the group! All Bhaktas have proved the dictum that the Bhakta is greater than the Lord Himself! What an array of correct information, sent by all of you! I am amazed at the number of correct replies! And i say a BIG " Thank You " and " May the Kamala-nethran be with all of you all the time! " See the devotion of our group friends! There are at least hall a dozen correct versions of the poem, each one vying with the other to send the correct information! Such is the greatness of our Guruvayur group! May the divine grace of that Kamala-nethran keep falling on one and all. Loving regards KVG.
