Guest guest
HARI AUM Thanks Chit Puramji for the right info that it is 'Sutala' and not 'Patal' It's also interesting to note the role played by 'ahamkar'. Had Mahabali deflected the glory of his golden reign to 'him', pride could not have found a place to bring its haughtiness. Achievements has a dangerous tendency to feed the pride making the 'doer' think, feel and act as if it is he himself is the 'real doer' and not the 'SELF' of his self. Onam is a great reminder to this fact and let it lead as a beacon avoiding the pitfalls of 'kartrutwam'. Regards Balagopal NARAYANA NARAYANA NARAYANA PS: from:http://in.answers./question/index?qid=20090731080046AAe6nBs In SikhismVamana is discussed in the Guru Granth Sahib, the sacred text of Sikhism.satjugi tai maNiO ChaliO bali bAvan bhAiO In Satyayuga, you sported as the dwarf incarnation, and fooled Bali. On page 1330 of the Guru Granth Sahib, Vamana is mentioned as the "enticer" of Baliraja. In the RamayanaAccording to the Adhatya Ramayana It is also said that Vamanadeva is the guard of the gate of Bali Maharaja's planet Sutala and will remain so forever. Tulsidas' Ramayana too declares that Vamana became the "dwarpal" (gate-defender) of Bali. See the Web's breaking stories, chosen by people like you. Check out Buzz.
