Guest guest
EESAAVAASYAM IDAM SARVAM. What I understand from this mahavakyam is that, everything is the abode of lord, and what is meant by VIRAATROOPAM is what all there is the part and parcel of the Lord’s body itself. It further indicates that there is nothing but the Lord. The first name in the VISHNU SAHASRA NAMA is “Om vishvaaya nama:†Vishvam means everything, all that is concerned as negatives and all positives. In scriptures, the five senses are depicted as negatives as they take us to worldly objects. Then it is thoughtful that, why the Lord created the senses?. I thought about it through an analogy. In a family, the grand father was everything for the rest of the members. He was deeply respected and beloved by each member of the family. One day he died. All members were sitting near his dead body and were exhausted by prolonged crying. It seemed that, all the five senses had been subjugated by the grief and thus become powerless. Eyes were open, but was not seeing anything, Ear was not hearing any sound, they had no appetite for any food at all, and were simply sitting near the corpse. Without their will, the senses had become ineffective to make them enthusiastic. It is felt that, as the time passed by, each and every senses started working slowly. Even though they were not in a mood, a comedy scene from a movie could make them smile. They started enjoying the taste of foods. Their bodies were unknowingly moving according to the rhythm of a good song. And they could come back to the normal state of life slowly and gradually within a few days. I thought that, this was not possible without the help of the so called five senses. The senses have helped their mind to forget about the loss. They have become lively. Then I realized that Why the almighty Lord created such a phenomenon? He created it as negative as well as positive at the same time. The Lord Himself is living in each and every being and aspect in the form of self consciousness and thereby making its swadharm possible. Fire can be used for cooking foods and also for burning a house. This may be why Sri Krishna says in Gita that, experience everything, but don’t get bound to anything. Renunciation of “RAAGADWESHAMâ€. Bhagavan was a King, a lover, a husband, a son, a brother, a friend, even an adviser in the battlefield, but at the same time He was SREE KRISHNA PARAMAATMA (the supreme reality). Thus whatever, negatives, or positives, EESAAVAASYAM IDAM SARVAM. OM NAMO BHAGAVATHE VAASUDEVAAYASURESH C KURUP See the Web's breaking stories, chosen by people like you. Check out Buzz.
