Acting with speed because He is sathyakaama and sathya sankalpa, His wish and His will are sathya , that is infallible. 696.theerTha karaH He who created the theerthas , holy waters like Ganga etc. gangaadhitheerTha hethuthvaath. The power of purification of the holy waters is due to the power of the Lord. TheerTha also means the Vedas and sasthras and the one who is wellversed in these and the great devotees of the Lord who has the jnana from bhakthi are also called as theerThas. The Lord is theerThakara because He instructed the Vedas to Brahma. smrthisruthyoH pravarthanaath. This nama can also be taken to mean Lord Hayagreeva who killed the demons Madhu and Kaitabha who stole the Vedas from Brahman and retrieved the Vedas and instructed Brahma again. Aathmapravesasopaanam krthathvaath theerThakaraH smrthaH He created the steps for His devotees to enter into Him. 697. vasurethaaH Starting from this till the nama 786 it refers to Krishnavathara. vasurethaaH means, of golden lustre.vasu means gold and rethas means lustre. Vasathi asmin sarvam ithi vasuH. He in whom everything exists. This refes to Krishnavathara when the Lord appeared lustrous at birth.Srimadbhagavatham describing Krishna as adhbutha baalaka, the wonderful infant, further describes that He illuminated the whole room with His lustre. Svarochishaa soothikaa graham virochayantham 698.vasupradhaH Gave himself as a supreme treasure to Devaki and Vasudeva. Vasumeans treasure and pradha is ine who gives. 699. vasupradhaH Provides wealth to His devotees. Gokulam became prosperous after the birth of Krishna. 700. vaasudevaH The son of vasudeva. Vasathi vaasayathi vaa ithi vaasudevah. He is in everything and makes everything dwell in Him. 701. vasuH Vasathi ithi vasuH. The indweller. Referring to Krishna it means that the one who lived in milky ocean has becme Krishna. Or as the word vasu also means concealing and wealth, this nama could mean that Krishna was the wealth of all and he concealed His real identity and was acting as the cowherd boy. Vedanta Desika calls Him a miThyaagopa , a pseudo cowherd. 702. vasumanaaH As Krishna He had His mind always on Vasudeva. Vasu here means Vasudeva. Vasou manaH asya ithi. Or it could mean that the Lord was always thinking of His wealth, His devotees, ie.vasu. 703. haviH He was given away as an offering by Vasudeva and Devaki to Yasodha and Nandha gopa. 704.sadhgathiH He is the refuge of the good. Sathaam gathiH. He is the goal of the good. Also He is the right path by which He could be attained, the means as well as the goal. Sath cha asou gathiH cha sathgathiH. Refers to the Gitopadesa of Krishna in which He sj hows thepath to attain Him and also says that Heist e goal to be attained. 705. sathkrthiH His actions were for the good only and for the welfare of all. This includes the leelas of Krishna right from His childhood till His doings in the battle of Mahabharatha. He Himself says in the Gita, janma karma cha me dhivyam evam yo vetthi thatthvathaH thyakthvaa dheham punarjanam naithi maamethi so arjuna which means that one who knows the birth(incarnations) and the actions of the Lord never returns to samsara but attains Him. The actions of Krishna like stealing butter, and play with gopis etc. are conducive of good since those who think about these with love and devotion get rid of their sinful propensities. 706. satthaa The Lord is the existence as such. The Brahman is defined as sath chith aanandha, existence, knowledge and bliss. Krishna says in the Gita, aham aadhiScha maDhyam cha bhoothaanaam antha eva cha, I am the bredinning, middle and the end of all beings. In Krishnavathara when Brahma hid the cows and cowherd boys, Krishna became everyone of them and Brahma saw Keirshna only in them and asked forgiveness. This was befasue the Lord was the real existence of all. 707.sathbhoothiH He is the real wealth of His devotees. For the true devotee, He is the son, friend, messenger, charioteer, as He proved in His actions towards the Pandavas. This nama also refers to His vibhoothis or manifestations as explained in th Gita, chapter 10. 708. sathparaayaNaH He is the support of the good.sathaam paraayaNaaH as He was to Pandavas and the people of Gokula. In Mahabhaaratha it is said , krshNaaSrayAh krshNa balaah krshNa-naaThaaSca paaNDavaah krshNah paaraayaNam theshaam Krishna is the resort, strength, the master, and the support of the Pandavas. SathparaayaNa can also be derived as sath cha asou paraayaNaHscha , meaning that He is the supreme support to all. 709.SoorasenaH The yadhava army was very powerful led by Krishna. Sooraa senaa yasya saH 710. yadhuSreshTaH The best of yadhavas . The clan of Yadhu became famous only due to the incarnation of Krishna. 711. sannivaasaH He is the abode of the saints like sansakaadhi. Akrura saw when he immersed in Yamuna Krishna as Narayan with sansakaadhi meditating near Him. Sathaam nivaasaH . The word sath also refers to the nithya sooris ,iike Garuda, Anantha, narada etc. who are always with the Lord 712. suyaamunaH One who reveled on the banks of Yamuna.
