Guest guest
Lately I've been meditating on this....the importance of getting in the zone of chanting attentive Japa. We talk alot about this aspect of Japa, attention and it's importance, but you can't really fully appreciate it's importance until you experience the effects of this attentive Japa. Here is a nice quote about the importance of good pronounciation and hearing: " One should note in this connection that chanting involves the activities of the upper and lower lips as well as the tongue. All three must be engaged in chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra. The words Hare Krishna should be very distinctly pronounced and heard. " Chaitanya Charitamrta - Adi 17.32 purportThe blissful feeling and sense of purification is very noticable....just try and see for yourself. Try to concentrate so much that you forget everything around you and you forget about what is going on in your life - no thoughts enter your mind and you are totally absorbed in the sound of Krsna's names....this is the zone and it's a wonderful place to be - with Krsna, getting His association through sound and remembering the Lord. Let's all make a big effort to chant with great attention and concentration...let's do this and experience what we should feel when we chant.-- In the material world everyone faces a dark future. No matter how successful and happy one may be in this material world he must face the gloomy future of old age, disease, and disease. This is why Krishna consciousness is of the utmost importance for the human society. Through Krishna consciousness one can enter into the brightest of all possible futures by reviving his eternal, all blissful, all knowledgeable nature. And this revival is not even difficult. All one has to do is take guidance, inspiration, and blessings from those who already situated in Krishna consciousness. It is for this purpose of transcendental association that Srila Prabhupada founded ISKCON, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, in New York in 1966. Chant:Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare HareHare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare
