Guest guest Posted September 29, 2009 Report Share Posted September 29, 2009 823. sulabhaH Sukhena labhyathe ithi sulabhaH- He is attained easily as He says in the Gita, pathram pushpam phalam thoyam yo me bhakthyaa prayacChathi , He could be propitiated with a leaf, a flower and a fruit. ..Ha also gives joy .Sukham labhatha. 824. suvrathaH He has the vow , vratha of protecting those who surrender to Him. He says in Ramavathara ,Sakrdheva prapannaanaam thavaasmi ithi vaadhinaam abhayam sarvabhoothaanaam dhadhaami ithi vratham mama.' `It is my vow to give refuge to all beings who come to me once and says "I am yours." 825. sidDhaH He is the siddhopaaya, readily established means of attaining Him. 826.Sathrujith One who vanquishes all enemies. 827. SathruthaapanaH The scorcher of foes. 828. nyagroDhaH udhumbaraH athyucchrita-sevyo api atyanta-neechaanaamapi anuvarthana- saadhyah Though He is worshipped by the highest devas like Brahma and Rudra , He is easily available to the lowliest like us who pray to Him with folded hands. That is His soulabhya. He is udhumbara , having the supreme abode,udh means above and ambara is sky. nyak means below. roDhaH is one who is controlled. The Lord is subservient to His devotees who are much below Him and pray to Him with folded hands. 829.aSvatThaH Sva means tomorrow. na Sva asva, that which has no tomorrow, meaning impermanent . It denotes the devas who are changing and the Lord is the one who establishes them in their positions. theshaam niyaamakathyaa thishTathi. The word asvattha occurs in Gita where the cycle of samsara to which the asvattha tree is compared to, is described as rooted in Brahman. The word aSva also means the five elements, aSnuvathe vyaaonuvanthi viSvam , pervading the universe as it is made up of the five elements.The Lord is called aSvatTha as he stands inside them as the inner self. 830.chaaNooraanDhra nishoodhanaH He who killed ChaNoora, and other wicked persons . chaayyanthe poojyanthe ithi chaaNooraaH, the good and saintly who deserve worship and anDgra is derived from anDha, blind to the good , wicked who give trouble to the good .The Lord destroys them. 831.saharaarchiH The one who has thousand rays It is His luminance which causes the luminance of the sun and athe moon. 832. saptha jihvaH The Lord in the form of fire carries the offerings in the sacrifices to the devas. In the Gita the Lord says, aham karthuraham yajnaH svaDhaaham aham oushaDham manthro ham aham evaajyam ahamagniH aham hutham "I am the krathu, I am the yajna, sacrifice, I am svadhaa, the offering made to pithrs, I am the herbs , I am the manthra, I am the clarified butter, I am the fire and the act of offering." The fire is called saptha jihvaa, seven tongued. The seven tounges of the fire are, kaalee, karaalee, manojavaa sulohithaa, suDhoomravarna, spulingini and viSvaruchi. 833. sapthaiDhaaH One who shines like the fire with seven kinds of fuel. They are palaasa, banyan, fig, jack, samee,aSanuhatha and pushkaraparNa. These are yhte seven forest trees that put forth no flowers but bear only fruits. 834. sapthavaahanaH He who has seven vehicles in the form of seven mantras which reveal Him in seven metres, gayathri, anushtup,brhathi, pankthi,thrshtup and jagathi which are represented by the seven horses of the Sun. 835.amoorthiH One who has no body made of five elements , praakrtha Sareera. Also He is the embodiment of pranava denoted by the letter `a' of the pranava 836. anaghaH Blemishless. 837. achinthyaH Not comprehensible by senses, mind and intellect or by any means of cognition 838. bhayakrth He strikes fear at the heart of those who acts against dharma. 839. bhayanaaSanaH He destroys the fear in the heart of His devotees Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
