Sastrigal was conducting a saRamanhasra bhojanam.His youngest son Raman was about 4 years old,was playing around and crossed the path ofpeople carrying a charak of boiling hot payasam.the boy had an abhisekam of hot payasam and there was a commotion and all thought that the boy will not survive. Sastrigal pacified everyone and sentthem on their respective roles saying that he will take care of the boy. Sastrigal took the boy to a secluded room and did Varuna japam and we dont know what else. The boy was miraculously saved and within half an hour he started running around as earlier. In later life ShriV.S. Rama Ayyar was constantly taking the name of Guruvayurappan and breathed his last at a ripe old age with Guruvayurappans name in mind and lips.
