Rama represents Pramaathma or the cosmic soul, the absolute reality 2. Sita Devi represents Jeevaathma or the individual soul identifying oneself with " I " 3. Golden deer represents desire of Jeeavaathma 4. Lanka is the body in which the jeevathma is imprisoned, bound by karmaas. 5. Demons represents the three types of Gunaas: a. Vibhishana represents Satva guna. b. Ravana represents Rajo Guna c. Kumbhakarna represents Thamo Guna. 6. Hanuman represnts Guru 7.
