Guest guest
Dear Panickarji,Thanks for the excellent article. I had no idea that so much was involved in choosing the Ishtadevata. I was born in Ettumanoor and so I always used to pray to Ettumanoorappan. Later on when I studied Narayaniyam I began to pray to Guruvayurappan and also to Ettumanoorappan. I have thus both Siva and Vishnu as my Ishtadevatas. I do not know what would be my Ishtadevata according to my horoscope. This is just by the way. It distorts the basic character of human.
