Earthquake in Haiti

Haiti was struck on 12 Jan with a massive 7.0 magnitude Earthquake and unofficial report is close to 100,000 would have died and that number could be higher in the days to follow besides heavy loss of property. Haiti is closer to those who live in USA and request all (at-least those who live in USA) let us pray Lord Guruvayoorappan to show and SHOWER HIS mercy on these poor people and to bless the survivors to move on with their life.

In 2001 while we were in India, Gujarat experienced one of the worst Earthquake on 26Jan. with heavy loss of life and property. Our group was in its infant stage then and I became a member after wards.

Yesterday the Orient, specially south India, experienced a Solar Eclipse that lasted about 11 minutes which the scientists claim is the longest in this millennium. That may be true or false only time will tell us.

 

I doubt if we have any Jhothishis or astrologers in our group. If there are any, here is an interesting subject to ponder.

"Is there any connection to the Earthquake that Haiti experienced and the Solar Eclipse that took place 3 days later in the other part of the World?"

Chandra Menonji wrote, the massive earthquake in Haiti is the saddest news

at the

beginning of this new year. We all deeply mourn the massive death

and join hands with him

in praying to our

Lord Guruvayoorappan for the departed souls to rest in peace and to shower HIS

mercy on the survivors

to lead a normal life.

Coming to the

part of connection of Eclipses with Earthquakes, it is a topic of discussion almost

from

time immemorial.

It seems the debate will be a never ending one. I am not an authority in

Astrology, but

as a humble

Astrology student, and in as much as my little knowledge goes, Eclipse is at

first an

Astronomical

phenomenon and the part of Astrology comes only next. Of course, Astronomy is

the part

of calculation

of movement etc. of the celestial bodies and Astrology is the part of prediction

of the impact

of those

movements etc.,and therefore they are interconnected. Let us go to some

preliminaries.

Eclipses are

permanent phenomena and they are regular and inevitable. They are calculated

and their occurrences

are recorded well in advance for years together from the beginning of

Astrology.

All Eclipses

are not seen always harmful in all places. Eclipses occur in part or in full differently

in

various places

according as the time taken each time by the Sun, Earth and Moon to remain in

parallel

line and based

on the tilting position of the earth, based also on the rotation and revolution

of the Luminaries

and the Earth.

There were six

Eclipses in 2009; two Solar on 26th January and 22nd

July, and four Lunar on 9th February,

7th July,

6th August and 31st December. Just after or just before

those Eclipses, no major havocs as that

happened in

Haiti or so, were not reported to have happened anywhere, on the above dates.

However, one

cannot rule out that there is no relation between Eclipses and natural calamities.

 

If we study

deeply the subject of Mundane Astrology (Astrology of Earth/World), we can

definitely

come across so

many instances of incidences connected with Eclipses of the past. It is a vast

subject,

almost like an

ocean and requires deep study.
