Namaste! Here is a report that appeared in The Hindu on the attakkatha (kathakali play) Sri Guruvayoorappan written by late Sri O.M.C. Narayanan Namboodiripad, Savitri's father.  This was performed at the Janma Satabdi celebrations of Savitri's father.

Hare Krishna ! Dear Devotees,

This is a very good eye opener to all Guruvayoorappa-bhaktas how to

conduct important functions in a way dear to Bhagavan. I have seen

numerous people wasting money on irreligious activities . Such people

are deluded by secular( irreligious philosophies) .

Narayaneeyam, Kathakali/Krishnanattam and vedic promotion are dearest to

Guruvayoorappan . It is due to the *punyam* of the departed Mahatma that

Bhagavan has bestowed such a wisdom to his successors.

May this be an eye opener to all those Bhaktas who want to do something

beneficial to their parents or dear ones .

Om Namo Narayanaya!!!
