Guest guest
Dear all, Bhagavatham was first narrated by Bhagavan Himself to Brahma Devan. He gave this knowledge to Narada muni. Narada Muni advised to Vyasa Muni. Vyasa Muni advised to Shuka Muni. Shuka Muni to King Parikshith and Soothan was one of the listeners present there along with King Parikshith. Soothan came to Naimishaaranya (a forest at the bank of river Ganga) and Shounaka maharshi (and many other devotees) asked Soothan : " Respected Sootha, please tell us what you think is the best for " Aathma samthrupthi " (self-satisfaction??) or eternal happiness. " Soothan said: " Respected devotees, knowing the greatness of Bhagavaan is the best solution to experience eternal happiness. " Before coming to the greatness of Bhagavan, Soothan explains the story of King Parikshith to them in 19 chapters and then explains about Bhagavan's greatness in full detail as he heard from Suka Muni. He added: " This story led King Parikshith from Mruthyu to Mukthi or from death to immortality. So listen to this because Sreemad Bhaafavathaakyhoyam prathyaksha Krishna aeva hi " ( Bhagavatham is Krishna Himself). Bhagavan ---> Bhrahmadevan-----> Narada Muni------> Vyasa Muni-----> Shuka Muni--------> King Parikshith + Soothan (many other blessed vevotees)-------> Shounaka Maharshi and other devotees--------> to all blessed devotees Sreekrishnaarpanamashtu Regards and prayers Savitri
