Guest guest
Om Namo Narayanaya.Rightly said, but easier said than done. That is why Arjuna said--- Chanchalam hi manah Krishna pramaathi balavad dridham; Tasyaaham nigraham manye vaayoriva sudushkaram. (Gita 6.34) The mind verily is restless, turbulent, strong and unyielding, O Krishna! I deem it as difficult to control as to control the wind. http://www.dlshq.org/download/bgita.pdf It would be nice if some of our senior members could reflect on their own experiences and share with us the techniques that worked best for them. To be balanced under all circumstances and to be detached - is the goal, and the only goal worth pursuing. Guest guest
HARI AUMRightly said Veenaji - it takes real effort loaded with right knowledge & experience. 'Satsangh' and 'Swadhyaya' - regular reading, learning, understanding & introspection of the scriptures, 'self' and the 'SELF' - are some suggested methods to slowly fall in line until the 'Guru' appears. It's not just worth the efforts, but the ONLY exit way out of this jerky 'kutcha' road to the highways of peaceful living.RegardsBalagopalNARAYANA NARAYANA NARAYANA The INTERNET now has a personality. Guest guest
Dear Balagopal, You are absolutely right. What is most needed for the sadhaka is detachment. If that is complete, all the other requisites laid down in ch. 13 of the gita, like amaanitvam, etc., will follow. Best wishes, S.N.Sastri--- On Tue, 4/6/10, balagopal ramakrishnan <rbalpal wrote: balagopal ramakrishnan <rbalpal[Guruvayur] dear, dearer and dearest"gvr" <guruvayur >Tuesday, April 6, 2010, 12:04 PM HARI AUM As one goes around the world and also the world going around him, strive, strive and strive to become more and more dispassionate, detached and balanced, for it seems such 'devotees' are dear, dearer and dearest to 'him'. Guest guest
HARI AUMRespected Sastriji,Very true. Sadly, most miss this precursor to success and hence have more failures than successes. 'Detachment' automatically enhances efficiencies in operations (both secular & spiritual) and thus producing more positive outcomes.Regards,Balagopal The INTERNET now has a personality. YOURS!
