Dear Shri Pande: The aim of being a part of various devotional groups such

as this is to try and elevate ourselves. Caste is a man made phenomenon

sanctified by mis interpetation of Purushasuktha etc. As for as I am

concerned there is only one class namely Homo Sapiens ( Human).

If caste were a criteria, would you eat food cooked and given by Lord

Krishna who was a yadav in His human Avatar?.

Lord Rama was a Kshatriya and as you well know Lord Vishnu also took avatars

as a Fish ( Matsya) and Tortoise ( Kurma) and half man- half animals (

Narasimha).

Lord Shiva is said to live in the Smasana ( Crematorium).

By the way, I am also a brahmin by birth and I believe that all these

avatars and the Gita basically are teaching us to treat everyone equally

including animals.

Adi Shankara himself was tested and chastised by Lord Shiva when he appeared

in Kashi as a Chandala.

Brahmatvam is attained not by birth and by practicing certain rituals but by

raising your spirituality ( Vishvamitra became a Brahmarishi). Why do you

read the Ramayan, Valmiki was not a Brahmin.

Likewise, Veda Vyas was not a Brahmin- I can go on!

My suggestion to you, don't harbor any ill feelings towards anyone nor carry

any complexes. You are not superior nor inferior to anyone solely because of

your birth. Practice Sanathana Dharma which is the core of Hinduism.

Sincerely

A Devotee

Venkat Hari
