Perpetuating Suffering

I make no claim as an expert on the various philosophies taught in the

Gita, or Hinduism as a whole. From my understanding, suffering is the

constant cycle of death and rebirth. Our goal should be to find a way

to escape this cycle through the various means described in the Gita.

If you look around, however, it seems like we are the ones who are

perpetuating this cycle of rebirth. We choose to bring people into

this world, not a divine force. What does the Gita say about giving

birth to a new child? It seems that this act is in fact a crime --

with each birth, we are pulling another soul into rebirth, thus

forcing them into suffering.

The only answer I have for this seemingly paradoxical occurrence is

this: we give birth to humans in order to give them the chance to

salvage their souls. If this is indeed the case, then it follows that

a soul cannot be salvaged unless its in the form of a body. Why? Why

would God do this? Why would he enforce such a mechanism? If no new

life were to be created at all, what would happen? Would those souls

that have not reached enlightenment be stuck in eternal limbo?

Sachinji,

Liberation according to our scripture is freedom from suffering. The escape

from cycle of rebirth is a side effect of mukti. Freedom can only be

attained as humans. Even celestial being cannot attain liberation. Thus

human birth is the greatest gift of the LORD.

ANILJI, nAMASTEJI. wHY ARE YOU aggrevating yourself so

much. No one knows even there is God!..I know of no

one to whom god has talked.. subb bakvaas hai.And who

says we have to escape the cycle of birth and rebith?

And go against nature..Gather all the definations of

God and think..all is a creation of minds needs to

have a higher authority whom we can blame and pray in

need..the same rules need to exist to smooth run the

society..otherwise you have to answer oroginal vedic

question..and who created him? and what is he made up

of? and who gave him all this power? Neti,Neti, Neti.

and no one will ever know..But you can go round and

round and Mazaa is in playing the game..not the

result..After all, we do not know what we were before,

we are notsure what we will be after..no matter who

says what..But khabhi kabhi, hum bhi khellki mazaame

musta ho jaate hai. vishnudada

Vishnudada. I feel the presence of lord's intelligence in every aspect of

this cosmos. May be you do not. Why do all star stay in their orbit? Why is

gravity is exactly what it is? Can anything be created without intelligence

and a creator? Wake up accept the lord as the underlying intelligence in

this creation. I am not asking you to believe in Rama or krshna or shiva but

the substratum of this creation the lord.
