There are 2 ways to get Moksha. The best and easiest way is do parmarth.

Tulsidas ji said Parhit Saras Dharam Nahin Bhai, Parpira sam nahin adhitai. If

we all understand and follow this, there is certainly moksha. This we can do

even living as a normal life as Grahstha.

Never speak or act that hurt some one physically or mentally.

The wordly meaning of Moksha to meet and merge in super power at the time of

death, when your soul merge with the Parmatma, that is Moksha. When Atma merge

with super divine, you no longer will have a birth and death cycle. This is

called Moksha or Salvation.

Thanks

Dear friends

In the Gita talk, we have had discussion at

a point of intellectually precise understanding on two things. First, is matters

of attachment (bondage) and detachment (freedom and tolerance by ‘logical’

knowledge), and second, reality of love (beyond logical, inseparable universal

mind, or loss of differentiation of ‘you and me’). Understanding of

these steps is just a prerequisite of becoming a manushya.

Arjun was brought to his state of manushya by rigorous

intellectual grinding (training of mind by practice and awareness) in step by

step. After he was a renunciate and became free of

fear and was full of compassion; he could decide with a clear mind about his choice

of work and initiated act in the war as per his SWABHAV. This was karma. In our

time, our work is to have a living, and family, and given all these, one can

choose karma according to its SWABHAV and where success is guaranteed in this

life and beyond.

Gandhi is well known example how he

carried on with his life. Similar is example of Amitabh Bacchhan.

He is son of a poet and his father was a realized soul as writer of Madhshaala. Bachhan was an artist

which is RAJO Guna (creativity). His swabhav was RAJO GUNA. Somehow he went into business

(called economics). Economics is TAMO GUNA because it uses mathematics or art

of comparisons that 2 is more than 1 and 2 is less

than 3. He was attached to GUNA alien to him, and he was in trouble and lost

his luster of life. He regained consciousness after getting renunciated from his failure in economics or business, and

is now backing in art. He is in his SWAROOP and full of compassion. Similarly, Bhagwat Gita sadhak should try to

understand where their life is taking to. Bacchan is

never short of art and there is no end of it in this life or beyond, because it

is his Karma.

Namaste; "Moksha" is the highest PURUSHARTHA=accomplishment of our body after fulfilling the other purushartha in the life per scriptures. Nandji, you are partly right about Paramartha. By doing help and thinking about others, we are offered Grace= Kripa from the Lord. Without Kripa, we will never be able to consumate or have the fruits of all our Karma from Time immemorial. In fact we do not have the fruits of all these Karma, He is so much merciful that He pardons all Karma and then only we have this State of Mind , Moksha and when we leave this body, He will take us to His abode for eternal service. We will not merge never into the Lord, yet we will enjoy more than Atma-Sakshahtakar. Thanks, Padmakant Khambhati Nand <nands wrote: There are 2 ways to get Moksha. Dear souls; I found this interesting verse in the 9th Canto of the Srimad Bhagavatam, spoken by Lord Vishnu regarding 'moksha'. If what the Lord is saying is true then all we have to aspire for is 'bhakti' or rendering pure unmotivated service to the Lord and everything else follows. Here is the verse: My devotees, who are always satisfied to be engaged in My loving service, are not interested even in the four principles of liberation [sālokya, sārūpya, sāmīpya and sārṣṭi], although these are automatically achieved by their service. What then is to be said of such perishable happiness as elevation

to the higher planetary systems? Hari Om; MOKSHA means attaining eternal peace; Today the whole mankind is in pieces; Each and everyone is running a race after Kamam,Kanchanam and Kirthi; Unless a man decides to quit this race he can never step into the path of eternal peace. Dear All in the Group,

Love and Love alone....

We are all striving and inching in our sadhana towards realising Nitya and Saswatha Santhi and Ananda. The choice of Purushartha encourages one to realise valid goals of human endeavour. What are these valid goals? They are the Chaturvidha Purusharthas known as Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha to achieve or realise the desired goal, i.e., Saswatha Ananda.

Artha is not only money but also to get a sense of security.

Kama is not only desire, but also enjoyment of pleasure.

These two are common for every jeeva, whether it is from human race or animal kingdom.

Artha and Kama are for materialistic society. Have all luxuries but eternal happiness is elusive without Dharma and Moksha.

There are three significant elements in the process and they are:

1. Understanding the fundamentals or essentials of life -- i.e., ability

2. Ability to look at life in a holistic view -- i.e., depth in view and understanding.

3. Understand the real nature of real life -- Cardinal principle of spirituality - Who am I?

Knowledge of Purushartha helps us in decision making. Life is full of choices and their implementation. To make right decision, the goal has to be clear. The quality of Purushartha depends on the quality of choices. A gradation of Purushartha is necessary to arrive at a decision.

1. Dharma is the Pradhana or Primary Purushartha. It is the foundation of life. Adhere to Dharma, which will, in turn, protect us. Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitaha.

2. Mokha is the Parama or the Ultimate Purushartha.

3. Artha and Kama are only instrumental Purusharthas.

One should pursue Ardha and Kama according to Dharma ONLY to get Moksha.

Even Marriage is streamlining Kama according to Dharma.

Moksha is total freedom from bondage.

I hope I am clear.

Love and Love alone....

P. Gopi Krishna

Dear Gita-lovers, I find interesting discussions about MOKSHA and other abstract things in this forum. Repeating what one has read about Moksha etc. does not lead one any where. It is just the manifestation of posing to the world that you can write or talkon MOKSHA. Once you understand or achieve MOKSHA, one does not talk or write. Strip yourself of the feeling that you know everything or can explain everything. This is just Pride and arrogance. Humility and feeling the prsence of GOD (in any

form or formless) near yiu, in you to guide you is enough to take you in the path of salavation. Most of the self-styled Gurus/ experts on Gita etc are nothing but cheats and money-hungry and ruthless people out to get your money and grab power over you. Peace is there with you, inside you. You can easily find it yourself without any help from outside, if only you are really wanting it. Religion is not a profession for living. balaraviusha sridhar <deepusmom wrote: Hari

Loving Divine,

Pranam.

My understanding of salvation or moksha is freedom or mukti... But by whom and from what?

The Soul is never in bondage!!! To begin with it is never born or never dies; it is all pervading (BG 2:20).

How come the all pervading, all knowing, never destroying ever be in bondage?

So where is the question of freeing our soul arises?

The thought of salvation or moksha of our soul is nothing but our ignorance!!!

The cause of bondage is our mind who is in the clutches of our ego.

Mind binds and mind feels free or liberated upon gaining the true knowledge.

The cause of our mind to remain in bondage is our attachment (BG 2:60. 67; 3:40).

So when we understand what is TRUTH or how this world gets created by our mind and how we ourselves can stop it; the mind feels liberated or freed...

That's why it is said we are our own friend and our own enemy (BG 6:6).

humble regards,

always at Thy Liberating Feet

Mr, Patel. As long as you think the soul is not never in bondage you will be in bondage. As long as you think you will yourself liberate your self you will be in bondage. As long as you will not worship Krishna and completely surrender to Him you will be in bondage. saravdharman parityajya mama ekam saranam vraja. You must surrender to Krishna or you will be the loser life after life. Only those who surrender to Krishna can become free from the gunas. There is no other way, no other way, no other way to attain spiritual platform and love fro Krishna but only by surrendering to Krishna. ardPS:jivera svarupa hoy krishnera nitya dasthe soul is the eternal servant of Krishna

Loving Divine,

Pranam.

I humbly disagree with your sentence - 'Once you understand or achieve MOKSHA, one does not talk or write.' Our saints/sages wrote that's why scriptures came into existence. They also spoke/sang about IT, including Lord Krishna (BG), that's how the knowledge was transferred (BG 4:1/2 - these slokas also confirm our Guru parampara for knowledge transfer). They also transferred this knowledge without talking - used their consciousness to uplift others!!! The modern saints/sages talked too or are also talking including Buddha, Mahavir, Guru Nanak, Shri Ramkrishna Parmahamsa, Lahiri Mahashaya to Prajnanananda Babaji and Swamiji Maharajaji.

Your email reminded me of an incident when someone asked something similar to Baba, so I am telling the response in my words with His forgiveness for not conveying the message accurately... He said that just like when a mother's breast is full of milk, the milk needs to be given to the baby otherwise it gives lot more pain (to both) - baby for not having milk and mother for holding the milk within!!!!!! Jyaanis or realized beings are in pain when they see sufferings and sorrows because of lack of very simple understanding of the Truth!!! As Lord Himself explains in Gitaji (BG 18:67-72) why one might choose to speak about IT...!!!

Yes, you are absolutely right about God being in all, in everything, near, around, above, within, outside, below, behind, front - everywhere, without Him nothing exists (BG 18:46)!!! I can't speak for others but on occasions, I find myself torn between devotion, karma and jyaan, & I am sure there are people like me dwindling... Recent message from Swamiji (email from Sadhak group) has mentioned that be a complete devotee or jyaani & there will not be any confusion, I agree, but I find myself a devotee with lacking full faith all the times; I find myself as jyaani but I am not firmly established in this knowledge; I find myself as karma yogi - doing karma without expecting anything but there are lot of occasions when I find myself forgetting God completely!!! In other words, I am a mixture, following all paths and thus when there is confusion this type of discussions help me stay focused! So please accept my humble pranams ()...()...() for remaining established in God all the times and seeing Him in all of His creation/non-creation.

Neither this Gita group nor anyone on behalf of Swamiji nor Babaji has ever asked me so far to pay any money to learn Gitaji. However, Gurudakshinaa has been our parampara also & depending on one's strong attachment/detachment, the Gurudakshina has been decided by the Guru. It could mean a thumb from the right hand or flesh from your body or tan/man/dhan or the entire kingdom or simple promise of teaching & helping those who are in distress or not teaching those who don't believe in God (BG18:67) and those disciples have given it to their Gurus - we have many many instances in our scriptures!!! Personally, I don't find anything wrong about it. We pay for our schooling, college, driving lessons, dance & music lessons, this class, that class - so what's wrong in paying to Guru who is helping us transform our life, free us from mental agonies (also please read /messages/125

/)? However, I also agree with your warnings...! Do you know about an incidence..., once Laxmanji complained to Ramaji that Brother You are being cheated... Ramaji knew about it and still replied calmly that cheating would have been crime but being cheated is not a crime so why worry (That's how simple, loving and accepting Lord Ramaji is - no bitterness whatsoever...!!!)

I also agree that peace is always there, it is as all pervading and omnipresent as God is.. Peace is disturbed only when we become restless and sometimes some assistance during such restlessness can help see it clearly that's all...

Loving regards,

always at Thy Peace Bestowing Feet
