Guest guest
Dear RAYA Why is understanding Bhagwat Gita difficult? DHARMA and YOGA are inseparable; DHARMA end up in YOGA. DHARMA is art of living, and working, and understanding according to ones’ GUNA and as these GUNA changes, the KARMA also changes. Complimentarily of KARMA and GUNA give rise to new status of realization, and of course leaving the old status. These statuses of self realization are called 1. SHUDRA (KAM/ Study and Use of OBJECT) – 2. VAISYA (ARTH/Study and use of SUBJECTS) – 3. CHHATRIA (DHARMA/ Conducting of the RESEARCH) – and 4. BRAHMAN (MOXA / end of the RESEARCH). Bhagwat Gita does not focus at KAM and ARTH because these are covered by DURGA SHAPTSHATI. DURGA is a word for owner of the fort (DURG). She controls people by laws of nature and it is a schooling of natural living. KAM and ARTH are therefore taught in schools and colleges and people thus developing new products, technology and entertainment etc.. On the other hand, Bhagwat Gita is Sri Krishna teaching to Arjun who was already at level of Chhatria and he was to be made Brahman. It is therefore said that Bhagwat Gita is only about DHARMA and MOXA. Had Sri Krishna found a SUDRA and he would have needed to lecture at him that would have covered all 4 steps of self realization. Bhagwat Gita is not a Primary (Shudra) and secondary (VAISYA) level but starts from graduation (CHATRIA) and post graduation (BRAHMAN). I personally had a lot of problem being initiated in Bhagwat Gita because I was a man full of desires for objects and sensory and ego satisfaction, and also because of my education, I was intellectually very refined and like to live in deep well of the ARTH or subjects or Vishaya. I am Shudra and Vaisya and my mind is not yet in full control to conduct self-research. This is luck in my life that I began the journey for further lives. Is ‘renunciation’ about leaving all things? Nothing is renounced by the RENUNCIATION. RENUNCIATION OR TYAGA is just up a gradation of the vision; and not running away or go to sleep or in jungles. Ram Krishna is an example, Einstein is an example. Lincoln is an example. These great men and women do not value a lot of things that most of us value and cannot live without. Einstein did know how much his salary should be. He often did not understand what to do with cheques received from people, and used it as book mark. A student who has cleared the examination of class 5 and goes to class 6, this is the renunciation from class 5 as there was nothing left to be known or working in that place. This does not means that the student should not have gone to class 5, and after he is in class 6, he is not unlearnt of class 5. In another example, if a person is head of an Indian company, and gets an opportunity in a top MNC in US with global responsibilities, his experience of older egos and relationships and bondages of experiences is unnecessary. Further to it, when this person becomes knower of entire universes, past and future, and every laws of nature, he gets renunciation from a global MNC and becomes like Einstein, Ram Krishna, and Plank. Sri Krishna in Bhagwat Gita does not ask for renunciation initially, and asks Arjun to do his KarTAVYA as per his innate GUNA, and thus stay at DHARMA. DHARMA is a cleaning process of GUNA by the KARMA, JYAN and BHAKTI. After ARJUN was fully educated by Him, there was nothing that was unknowable, and everything became accessible without a sense of comparison, and there was none else other than his own expansion inside the world, the meaning of RENUNCIATION revealed. They only condition one to samsara and so they are compared to the stool of the hog. 4) One should renounce actions in tamas rajas and even sattva guna when these are not meant for the pleasure of Krishna. 5) One should renounce false renunciation or rejecting things that could be used for the service of Krishna. Thus, real renunciation is to use everything favorable for the service of Krishna and rejecting everything unfavorable for the service of Krishna. Anything else belongs to cheating religion and will be the cause of falling down due to false renunciation. Chant Hare Krishna and be happy ard avadhuta maharaja <avadhutamaharaja wrote: Dear souls; When the Lord says in 18.66 Gita to give up all other dharmas and surrender to Him that would seem to include any false sense of renunciation. For a fact everything belongs to Him and He is the controller of everything. Therefore, what is there to renounce? That means Renunciation. And that is very true. Everything boils down to that concept.
