Guest guest
Shri Anandji Maharaj It is true that Entire Energy is God's Energy. It is only because of Him every thing moves. Electriciy runs millions of equipments, but it does not tell you how to use it? You can make somebody warm by using an electric heater to heat in severe cold, at the same time you can kill someone with an open electric wire. Electricity runs through millions of things and has many uses, how one chooses to use it depends on the person. Electricity does not stop you or choose for you how to use it? Electricity would not tell you, please use me this way. Similarly, all over in/out, up/down, man/animal, it is power of God only that is playing a role. One must use their "Vivek" (discrimination). How to use it? how can I make world happy? how can I make every living being happy? how can I make other souls happy? is all dependent on us. Though it is the power of God thru which every thing moves, but He does not tell us how to use that power. You could be cruel or kind, you could be happy or miserable, you could do good or bad, it is up to you. From Anandji Maharaj Ram Ram-Shree Hari Ram Ram Madan Kaura Here is my humble response based on Param Shardheya Swami Ramsukhdasji's work on Gita. The question is when all actions are happening with the power of God, then why the individual should make any effort? Lord Krishna in Gita is making it very clear that individual does not have a choice of doing action or not doing action, action is an absolute must. Actions are happening in spite of ourselves, when we think we are sitting idle, even then actions are taking place in the body such as breathing, flowing of blood, digesting of food etc. The mind too can be busy thinking about something (according to Gita that is action too). Ref: (Gita 3-5) - "None can remain inactive even for a moment; everyone is helplessly driven to action by qualities born of nature (the gunas of Prikriti)". Ref: (Gita 18-7) - "The abandonment of any obligatory duty is not proper; such abandonment out of ignorance is declared to be Tamasika".Ref: (Gita 3-8) - "Engage yourself in performing your allotted duty; for action is superior to inaction. Desisting from action, you cannot even maintain your body".Ref: (Gita 2-47) - "Seek to perform your duty; but lay not claim to its fruits. Be you not the producer of the fruits of karma; neither shall you lean towards inaction". It is true that behind everything it is God's power only which is making all actions possible. If it was not for His Shakti, nothing can happen. Arjuna was asked to fight, even though Lord Krishna said that He had already killed all his enemies, Arjuna was to become only a Nimit-matra (instrument in His hands), Nimit-matra does not mean to do his duty for name sake only but use his full power and yet consider him not to be the cause behind his victory. Ref: (Gita 11-33) - "You therefore arise and obtain fame. Conquer the enemies and enjoy the unrivalled kingdom. By Me your foes verily have been slain already. You be merely become an outward cause, O Savyasacin". Lord Krishna's message here is not to shun the actions but perform actions with a changed attitude, called the skill in action (Gita: 2-50 - "Yoga karamsu koashalam"). The doer ship, pride of doing actions and the attachment to the fruit of actions have to be given up. All actions are to be performed as an offering to God. Following this Yoga technique, Lord Krishna is assuring Arjuna that the good and bad effects of the actions will not be binding to him anymore. In addition, this will help him to reach liberation, the life's single goal of attaining freedom from birth and death cycle. Ref: (Gita 18-46) - "He from whom all beings emanate and by whom all this is pervaded, by worshipping Him through performance of his own duty, man attains perfection". Ref: (Gita 2-38): "Treating alike pleasure and pain, gain & loss, victory or defeat, then fighting thus you will not incur sin". Fighting here means performing our duty. Gist of Gita teaching is given here in Arjuna's words, he is now ready to perform his duty as a Kashatriya but with complete surrender to God's will. Ref: (Gita:18-73): "My delusion is destroyed, my memory has come back with Thy grace, O Achyuta, I stand firm, my doubts dispelled, I shall do Thy bidding". It seems the goal of teaching Gita has been achieved here, therfore, the Gita sermon stops here, there is no more 'Sribhagaavan Uvaca' after this point. With warm regards,Madan ----------->Q.lord said in Gita chapter 10 mantra 3, that "every thing moves because of me" then Swamiji why we should do efforts?Om Singhal>Ram Ram Now that's room service!
