Loving Divine,

Pranam.

Our scriptures were taught to those little kids who went to Gurukulam, you are old enough to read Gitaji.

Any time is good. I personally prefer morning as it gives you entire day to contemplate on what you read.

Your inner self will tell you what is right food for you, honestly listen and follow (do not make excuses to your inner self).

Hope this helps.

Love and Good luck.

Sureshji,

Anytime is good for reading Gita although if you fix a certain time

of the day for Gita reading and stick with it that would be

better. You may also keep a pocket Gita in your pocket all the

time. There is one available through Gita press that fits in the

shirt pocket. Once you start reading Gita seriously, it would

happen that during the day you will have Gita verses going through

your head. If you have a pocket Gita with yo, you can take it out

and immediately look at it. I have found this to be a very good way

to learn and understand and also memorize Gita verses.

Regarding food: Gita describes three types of food: Sattavic,

Rajasic and Tamasic. Another scripture say " AHAAR SHUDDHAU SATTVA

SHUDDHI " To get the most from Gita mind needs to be calm, and

Rajasic and Tamasic foods cause turbulence and dullness

respectively. As you progress on this path your food should start

changing by itself effortlessly.

Humbly submitted
