Guest guest
Namaskar! Below is your e-mail and my response is as this: What is covered below is good for a sanyasi or yogi who lives alone without contact with a society, or who want to live like a dead person in the society. There are absolute bad karmas, e.g. killers of cows, and the six kind of aatataayis. If people do not see bad in the karma of aatataayis, then no one will punish the adharmis (unrighteous), and consequently the adharmis will rule over the dharmi (righteous) people in the society. When Arjun refused to fight giving various reasons, Krishna advised him to fight. Arjun then killed even his own grandfather and guru Drona, even when he loved them. So, the message of gita/Krishna is clear: Love your enemy if you can, but fight the adharmis, and win them over. Now, if no bad is seen in any one, then one cannot identify any enemy, and not knowing who is the enemy, one will be taken over by the enemies. Also, anger and violence, etc. can be used to uphold dharma and check the adharmis. There is right use for almost any feeling. jai sri krishna! -sv --- ----- Response to Above : Shree Hari Ram Ram Your point is well taken. When small part of a daily message is shared from a one hour discourse by Swamiji, it does not do justice and leaves some loose end. Pujya Swamiji and ofcourse Gita at no time tells us not to do our duties... our duties include what you have described in your email... defending / fighting to continue to uphold Dharma as appropriate... Here not perceiving " evil " has more to do with, the inner bhava... the act is evil, the person (soul) is not evil... as within he is " Ishvar Ansh " and nothing short of that.... It is realizing the presence of the eternal flawless " Soul " (Atman) at all times. Swamiji clearly talks about the fleeting evil... that comes and goes... By taking the temporary fleeting and seeing it in another, we too get tainted (evil temporarily come to us) by the same. We are to take the appropriate action to uphold Dharma, but at all times be aware of that pure Consciousness that is flawless (not evil) in each of us. By the way, at no time forget that we are sadhakas... We are the sannyasi / yogi that you speak off.... and nothing short of that. This is an inner journey and inner commitment, and the contact with the world has virtually no bearing what so ever. Thank you for your inquiry and helping us all to further our understanding. Sadhaka, please share your insights regarding this. Ram Ram Sadhak <sadhak_insight wrote: :Shree Hari: Aashaad Shukla Chaturthi, Vikram Samvat 2064, Budhvar 18th July, 2007, Wednesday A man has no right to consider anyone bad. The evil that is perceived in someone, is not in him, rather it is fleeting. The flaw in human nature is that he forgives himself for the evil that he does, but on perceiving evil in another, brings them to justice. The duty of a spiritual aspirant is to bring himself to justice and forgive others. Being a part of God, everyman is inherently flawless. " Ishvar Ansh Jeev Avinashi, Chetan Amal Sahaj Sukhraasi. " (Manasa, Uttara 117:2) Therefore we should not establish evil in anyone. It is improper to consider anyone bad by perceiving the fleeting evil which visits them. Another person may be bad or good, but by us considering them bad, we are inviting that evil in us. By considering others bad, bad thoughts will be born in our mind, and they will cause enmity, anger, partiality etc With the manifestation of these evils in us, our actions become impure. Therefore we should not establish evil either in ourselves or in others. Establishing evil is neither for our welfare, nor the others.
