Manish Badkas ------------------------------- : Shree Hari : Ram Ram 13th January, 2009, Tuesday Someone asked Swami Sharnanandji Maharaj - What is Paramatma (God) like? He replied that Paramamta is like Himself. The nature of God and man is the same. The world changes, if you changed your outlook and nature. Each man will appear like Paramatma (God) to you. Even the worst of sinners will appear like God. You cannot change the views of others, but you have the right, the capacity and the capability to change your own views. By making your nature pure, everything else becomes pure. People that kill animals and sell their meat are not liked by others and are looked upon as lowly. But by trying to see it differently, you will see these acts to be a part of Bhagwaan's Kaliyug activities. Whatever happens should be considered as ordained by God. Be careful that you do not start considering yourself as the best and the knower of all, for it is the worst thing that can happen. Being proud of your goodness is the root of all evils. How does Gita help in not only understanding " change " but also incorporating " change " in our day-to-day life...so much so that WE begin to represent " change " ? Manish Badkas ------------------------------- Shree Hari Ram Ram Summary Entire Gita is aimed at change. Read Gitaji for any changes Change must take place at the " core " for it to become actions Key is " listening " with open-mindedness, free of conditioning He is unable to change, when busy changing others that do not exist! Changing is seeing false as false and vice-versa. Shri Krishna's divine play will guide you through all changes When in doubt read Gita like Mahatma Gandhi did Have faith in our scriptures, in Gita Mahatmya Desire for change is from dissatisfaction. Satisfaction has no end. ------------------------------- NEW POSTING Dear Sadhakas, Namaste! Entire teaching of Gita is aimed to change " a person " from a limited, timid, helpless, guilt-ridden, self-pitying to limitless inspite of living with body-mind limitations, courageous, helpful, steadfast, righteous, duty-bound. Understanding " changes " deeply at the core of one's being, automatically gets incorporated in one's actions. This is the very reason why Krishnaji imparts such knowledge to Arjuna(to us, really) through dialogues with him so he can listen. How do we understand deeply? Sadhakas, in my experience, I have benefited most by listening intently. The most powerful way too imbibe any teaching is Listening attentively, passionately, keeping mind open, feeling words that come across as needed to hear and are ordained by God for you. It is not simply information gathering, remembering which is useful for earning livelihood. The listening we need to bring about " changes " , in daily life must break away our wrong notions, beliefs about ourselves and the world, has to becomes one with our Self-Consciousness! The real change is freedom from our conditioning, our indentification with limitations we impose on ourselves. Why don't we change in such a way? Because we are busy changing others, and no such " others " exist! If we think about it, our world is in our mind, everyone we know, we like, we dislike, spouses, children, siblings, parents, friends, nationality, religious beliefs, castes, race, everything. All of these exist as merely images based on thoughts, feelings, knowledge acquired while dealing with them, so it is the past! Such a mind is so much divided within itself as these images, and it considers these divisions real. It is in conflict almost perpetually as it is trying to change " others " existing within and as mind itself. So mind cannot change itself on its own by thinking it to be real. When we see the truth of such a mind by listening to suggestions made by Realized ones, the words from them are like microwaves or laser removing/burning our notions and beliefs and subsequently mind itself purifies, and paves the way for us to see the truth of what is false. There is no " how to " change, only what is false is to be seen false, and truth will act! The change is the natural outcome of such listening. Namaskar............. Guest guest
QUESTION: Year 2009 is been designated as the year of " change " . How does Gita help in not only understanding " change " but also incorporating " change " in our day-to-day life...so much so that WE begin to represent " change " ? Manish Badkas ------------------------------- NEW POSTING Hari Om A really Good Question by Michael. In fact, the world appears to you as you are. The entire perspective changes , when you change your ego. Here the change suggested is the change of ego, basically. Because ego is nothing except " me " and " mine " ! Fundamentally that is all ego consists of. When you CHANGE your ego as aforesaid the entire world changes for you instantly. The FIRST RESULT is that YOU BECOME VICE FREE ! Automatically !! If you think deeply then you will become certain that all FAULTS in you arise out of your faulty ego , in other words out of your assumption that " I AM OF THE WORLD AND WORLD IS MINE " . When you change that to " I AM OF THE GOD AND GOD ONLY IS MINE " – that necessarily means that World is NOT MINE. Once the world , worldly people, body, mind, intellect , NOTHING IS YOURS – then Greed for what? Anger for what? Sorrow for what? Desire for what? Jealosy because of what? NOTHING WORLDLY IS YOURS ! Hence INSTANTLY , you become FAULTLESS !! ( Read Gita 9:30/31) !! INSTANTLY means at that very moment ! Can any learned Sadhak point out to me that once nothing is mine , why shall I become angry ? Why there will a need arise for me to tell a lie? If something is earned or lost, something remains or dies, something is good or bad, how does that matter to me ? Why I shall ever be sorrowful ? I invite each and every reader to tell me as to why faults of any kind will remain in me, if nothing worldly is mine ? Why will I sin, if nothing is mine ? That is the first major change Mr Michael which occurs INSTANTLY. All of your faults vanish as if they never existed. That is only a side effect. The real changes which occur in you because of the change in your ego are manifestation of certain " divine qualities/ properties " automatically in your personality. Properties like fearlessness, clear conscience, austerity, kindness, tolerance, truthfulness, non violence, etc ( Refer BG 16:1 to 16:3 for full list) . We shall discuss next as to how they manifest unto you EFFORTLESSLY, AUTOMATICALLY merely because you have made that one change _ MERE TO GIRDHAR GOPAL, DOOSARO NA KOI. ( Only God is mine, no body/thing else is mine ) Jai Shree Krishna Vyas N B ------------------------------- Dear Sadhakas, namaste! We may look at the difference between " change " and " modified behavior " . In this context, Change should be from being " person " to being " no person " . Becoming " better person " from being " not-so good person " is simply modifying behavior for some end-gains, or expectations of reward, or avoidance of punishment. For example, when a child misbehaves, mom or dad warns him of grounding in a room etc and child stops temporarily misbehaving, and returns back to being same. I am sure this is not what we want in 2009 change, as it is no change at all, because " person " being the ego, sense of separate 'me " continues in new garbs or another mask. Lord Krishna says in Gita to Arjuna(to us really), " you are not such a person, you are Atman, which is free always, that which never ceases to be, fire cannot burn, wind cannot dry, water cannot wet, weapons cannot destroy. As such " YOU " are beyond the space-time, as space-time consciousness arise in " YOU " when willed. You are " ME " , the Supreme Consciousness, the One and Whole, you just don't know it, whereas I KNOW it to be so. If this is understood deeply, " person " drops away from our actions/karmas, body-mind becomes instrument in the hand of Divinity and above all " Change " takes place in 2009 and beyond! What helps me is I take " Consciousness " for " Krishna " in the entire Gita. This very ordinary consciousness we share is the Supreme also as there is only ONE consciousness! Ordinariness is due to being conditioned in different ways making us think being separate " me " s. namaskar........Pratap Bhatt -------------------------------- Change is the only truth of this world. Everything in this world changes. Hari Shanker Deo -------------------------------- ------------------------------- Shree Hari Ram Ram SUMMARY OF SADHAK RESPONSES TO DATE - CHANGE only once and become CHANGELESS forever - Change from being " person " to being " no person " . - world appears to you as you are. The entire perspective changes , when you change your ego - " me " and " mine " - From I am of the World to I am of the God; - From World is Mine to only God is Mine; Nothing else is Mine - Thereafter just watch the grace of God flowing. - INSTANTLY , FAULTLESSNESS !! Why will I sin, if nothing is mine ? - you are Atman, Knowing this... you are changed forever. - Entire Gita is aimed at change. Pratap Bhatt --------------------------- Dear Sadhak, Hare Krishna Read Shri Gita. You will feel divine change in every every thing. Inner change outer change. Worldly change Spiritual change. All Swamijis take resort to Shri Gita. Shri Krishna is Jagat Guru of all Swamijis. Swami Ramsukhdas ji or Swami Sharanandji every body has got knowledge about God from Shri Gita. Chant at least one Shloka daily. God Krishna will play with you, dance with you, eat with you, sleep with you, teach you and protect you at every moment. Congratulations on Makar Sankranti Mahesh Sharma ------------------------------ This is a very important question for all When Mahatma Gandhi was in doubt he was referriing to Bhagvat Gita. When we read Bhagvat Gita and try to evaluate its meaning there are many chances to transform our life This is change We must have faith in our holy scriptures Gita's Mahatmya is worth reading. Truly yours S S Bhatt -------------------------------- Dear Sadaks, Ref: Sri Manish Badkas " Change " . Means the past was not good and present can it be bright. Past year was not satisfactory. Satisfaction has NO boundaries and no end, until one is satisfied past and present. Jai Sri Krishna baiya sathyanarayan -------------------------------- : Shree Hari : Ram Ram 13th January, 2009, Tuesday Someone asked Swami Sharnanandji Maharaj - What is Paramatma (God) like? Try to change your views and your outlook and the world will hold a different meaning for you. Read the Salvation of Mankind - Chapters 6, 7 and 8. They are important to imbibe in your lives. Guest guest
Shree Hari Ram Ram Cleaning PENDING QUEUE... Few Extra Emails.. Ram Ram ---------------------------- QUESTION: Year 2009 is been designated as the year of " change " . How does Gita help in not only understanding " change " but also incorporating " change " in our day-to-day life...so much so that WE begin to represent " change " ? Manish Badkas ------------------------------- FOLLOW UP QUESTION: I have one Question. Mr Vyas stated that once you change from of the world to of the God, surroundings change. My question is that how do they change? How the grace of God starts flowing? What changes take place in practical life of the one who made aforesaid change of vision? Does Gita indicate / confirm such changes? Thanks Michael Hagen ------------------------------ NEW POSTING Dear Sadhakas, Namaskar, A change is always for better, a change is evolution. Time causes mutations in thoughts, perspectives, concepts, ideas, references, even morals... With the vast and confirmable data collected by scientific experiments and theories, we can change our concepts of spirituality. The abstract concepts of Moksha, Mukti, Heaven, Hell, Yama and his rope, and so many restrictions imposed on women by the male dominated society....need to be changed....Let us begin the process of change from 2009.....Gee Waman ------------------------ Shree Hari Ram Ram The most extraordinary change one can make is - " Turning towards Bhagavan " (IS-ness, God, Paramatma, the Beloved, the Light of all Lights). This is one change that we have complete control over. Thereafter one becomes completely free of all worries, fears, sorrows and doubts. When one faces the LIGHT, how can one see darkness thereafter? It is not possible. All suffering comes from not facing the LIGHT, not turning towards Bhagwaan (IS-ness, Absolute). Such a one, how can he do any harm to the world, the society, to the Universe, to the Cosmos at large, as oneness with everything in the Cosmos becomes the natural state. Just as a fish surrenders to the water... let us face the Light, turn to Bhagwaan once and for all, the ULTIMATE CHANGE TOWARDS CHANGELESS. It is the essence of all the Vedas, Upanishad, Gita and scriptures. It will brings all the Change Management Gurus of the world to their knees... begging to learn the secret. IT IS LIKE MAGIC ! FROM " IS-NOT " TO " IS AND ONLY IS " . Meera Das Ram Ram ------------------------------ Hari Om A really Good Question by Michael. Read Gitaji for any changes - Change must take place at the " core " for it to become actions - " Consciousness " represents " Krishna " in the entire Gita. - there is only ONE consciousness! - Ordinariness is thinking we are separate - Key is " listening " with open-mindedness, free of conditioning - He is unable to change, when busy changing others that do not exist! - Changing is seeing false as false and vice-versa. - Shri Krishna's divine play will guide you through all changes - When in doubt read Gita like Mahatma Gandhi did - Have faith in our scriptures, in Gita Mahatmya - Desire for change is from dissatisfaction. Satisfaction has no end. ------------------------------- PRIOR POSTING Dear Aspirants of Peace ! Dear Sadhak, So true sadhak Vyasji... Just accept firmly----ONLY God is mine, and I am God's. This acceptance will bring all changes automatically. With Love, a sadhika Sadhna Karigar Hari Om CHANGE only once , Dear Sadhaks ! Change from I am of the world, world is mine To I am of the God , only God is mine and nothing else is mine !! This one change is so powerful, so decisive, so pious, so divine that after this you don't have to make any other change. To change is the nature of PRAKRATI not of PURUSHA. Make one change and thereafter become changeless for ever. Things around you will then automatically change- thereafter you just watch the grace of God flowing around you and marvel at it. Just one change Dear Sadhaks! Only one change! Happy 2009 ! Jai Shree Krishna Vyas N B ------------------------------ PRIOR POSTING Dear Sadhakas, Namaste! What changes takeplace in practical life of the one who made aforesaid change ofvision? Does Gita indicate / confirm such changes?ThanksMichael Hagen------------------------------NEW POSTING Dear Sadaks,2009 there can be a change says Manish Badkas. Most of the change that took so far only made man from BAD to Worst. Science changed from Atom indivisible to divisible. Now Protron is going to be divisible and so on. Man changed from being kind to terroist. Water changed to impurity. Businesses were changing, countries are changing, geographical matter are changing Etc. One should have change to have NO desire. Change is never ending story. But the change Sri Vyasji says is unchanging. ""Mr Vyasji stated that once you change from of the world to of the God, surroundings change"" how asks Michael Hagen. Simple: When Christ arose from death, HE got changed to austrial body, HIS vision changed & saw the kingdom of GOD, HIS idea changed to stay on the earth, left to unchange.Indian origin: Pundalikan from Maharastra in India was worst person indulging in all pleasures. He changed to be good son to his parents. Sri Krishna came to him. That is Panderpur. Purander Dos changed from miserliness to renunciation of his 9 Crore property.God was with him. These people go from changing to unchanging. But normal man remains in changing, change after change until death. Then man gets a change from human body to another. Bible says that there is no rebirth. Rebirth of what? No rebirth to soul. But body changes with Vasanas for more change. Michael Hagen has to read Baktha Mala to know how to experience (cannot see or feel by senses) surrounding changes. Once experienced one will not have earthly feeling.Sri Gee Waman says, ""The abstract concepts of Moksha, Mukti, Heaven, Hell, Yama and his rope, and so many restrictions imposed on women by the male dominated society.""What is said is definately not only for woman but for man in common. Moksha is Christ liberating from earth. Heaven is that which you are blessed with all pleasures, money etc on this earth. Hell is the man suffering with untold diseases, want for a square meal, no place to live, no proper clothes, deformity in body Etc. Yama demi energy created by Prakurthi to release the soul from body by death. Yama rope is that says the instrument (It is a RED light ray like Gama ray he uses. In hinduism it is said that snake catches Sun during eclipse. Here the snake is represented as poison (Ultravoilet unfiltered rays) that comes to earth. There are wondetrful explanation about the whole galaxies, about human Chemistry, electricity, magnatism, metobolism when changes in correct proportion, the body becomes attached to soul. That is Athuma Jeeva Ayikiyam. Then it becomes nondestructable body, like so many saints of India. That is what Sri Vyasji is talking. Jai Sri KrishnaB.Sathyanarayan -------------------------------- Dear sadaks Lately I went to hills known as Kolli Hills and explored placed where 18 Shidhars stayed. One such place was Padacholai. It was deep in tribal area. I met few people who were totally innocent and pleasing in nature. During discussion I said about Independence of India in 1947. Few were 75 years and above very healthy. They said what was it. They are totally unaware of British rule Etc. There was no change in them except clothes. They live in their world of their own. But what I learnt was, that they quickly came on seeing me, offered me food and water and a cot to relax. When I asked them it would be nice if I could stay here for weeks. They spoke among themselves and offered me a fine hut. But my Karma never allowed me to stay. That is Vasudeva Sarvam they taught me, which in turn shows to Negate thought of changes. When I told them world has changed beyond their expectations. They said fine, they showed me a small temple in ruins, and said we are totally happy that Bagavan is with us. This is what Sri Vyasji said.Jai Sri KrishnaB.Sathyanarayan -- Dear sadhakas, we need to understand that each person lives in a world of his own. No doubt the world and its movement of time and space is the same for all, but, each person lives through his/ her mind, with responses to external stimulii; and then, the Immutable law of cause and effect takes over ( Law of Karma ). Our sadhana is only our desire to go beyond this Law ..... to transcend the Law, through Karma, through Bhakti, through Gnana .................. that is what Gunateet implies ( pl read Ch. 14..... sp ref sh. 2,12,26 ) The following verses from Dhammapada give us a peep into how the readings, hearings, teachings from, and practise of the Dharma indicated and explained by Bhagwan Krishna in Bhagvada Geetha, change our thinking, and hencefore our world ........................ 1. Choices We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make the world. Speak or act with an impure mind And trouble will follow you; As the wheel follows the ox that draws the cart. We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make the world. Speak or act with a pure mind And happiness will follow you As your shadow, unshakable. "Look how he abused me and hurt me, How he threw me down and robbed me." Live with such thoughts and you live in hate. "Look how he abused me and hurt me, How he threw me down and robbed me." Abandon such thoughts, and live in love. In this world ; Hate never yet dispelled hate. Only love dispels hate. This is the law, Ancient and inexhaustible. You too shall pass away. Knowing this, how can you quarrel? How easily the wind overturns a frail tree. Seek happiness in the senses, Indulge in food and sleep, And you too will be uprooted. The wind cannot overturn a mountain. Temptation cannot touch the man Who is awake, strong and humble, Who masters himself and minds the dharma. If a man's thoughts are muddy, If he is reckless and full of deceit, How can he wear the yellow robe? Whoever is master of his own nature, Bright, clear and true, He may indeed wear the yellow robe. Mistaking the false for the true, And the true for the false, You overlook the heart; And fill yourself with desire. See the false as false, The true as true. Look into your heart. Follow your nature. An unreflecting mind is a poor roof. Passion, like the rain, floods the house. But if the roof is strong, there is shelter. Whoever follows impure thoughts; Suffers in this world and the next. In both worlds he suffers And how greatly; When he sees the wrong he has done. But whoever follows the dharma; Is joyful here and joyful there. In both worlds he rejoices And how greatly; When he sees the good he has done. For great is the harvest in this world, And greater still in the next. However many holy words you read, However many you speak, What good will they do you; If you do not act upon them? Are you a shepherd; Who counts another man's sheep, Never sharing the way? Read as few words as you like, And speak fewer. But act upon the dharma. Give up the old ways - Passion, enmity, folly. Know the truth and find peace. Share the way. AUM narinder bhandari ------------------------------- PRIOR POSTINGDear Sadhakas, Namaskar,A change is always for better, a change is evolution. Only one change!Happy 2009 !Jai Shree KrishnaVyas N B------------------------------PRIOR POSTINGDear Sadhakas, Namaste!Entire teaching of Gita is aimed to change "a person" from alimited, timid, helpless, guilt-ridden, self-pitying to limitlessinspite of living with body-mind limitations, courageous, helpful, steadfast, righteous, duty-bound.Understanding "changes" deeply at the core of one's being, automatically gets incorporated in one's actions. This is the veryreason why Krishnaji imparts such knowledge to Arjuna(to us, really)through dialogues with him so he can listen. How do we understand deeply?Sadhakas, in my experience, I have benefited most by listeningintently. The most powerful way too imbibe any teaching is Listeningattentively, passionately, keeping mind open, feeling words thatcome across as needed to hear and are ordained by God for you. It isnot simply information gathering, remembering which is useful forearning livelihood. The listening we need to bring about "changes", in daily life mustbreak away our wrong notions, beliefs about ourselves and the world, has to becomes one with our Self-Consciousness! The real change isfreedom from our conditioning, our indentification with limitationswe impose on ourselves. Why don't we change in such a way?Because we are busy changing others, and no such "others" exist! If we think about it, our world is in our mind, everyone we know, welike, we dislike, spouses, children, siblings, parents, friends, nationality, religious beliefs, castes, race, everything. All ofthese exist as merely images based on thoughts, feelings, knowledgeacquired while dealing with them, so it is the past!Such a mind is so much divided within itself as these images, and itconsiders these divisions real. It is in conflict almost perpetuallyas it is trying to change "others" existing within and as minditself. So mind cannot change itself on its own by thinking it to be real. When we see the truth of such a mind by listening to suggestionsmade by Realized ones, the words from them are like microwaves orlaser removing/burning our notions and beliefs and subsequently minditself purifies, and paves the way for us to see the truth of whatis false. There is no "how to" change, only what is false is to be seen false, and truth will act!The change is the natural outcome of such listening.Namaskar.............Pratap Bhatt---------------------------Dear Sadhak,Hare KrishnaRead Shri Gita. A house wife was cooking food in her house for her kid who was about to return from school. All of a sudden she heard a voice of an accident followed by a noise of people shouting that a kid was crushed by a speeding car. The house-wife thought, it was her kid so she immediately came left her house leaving the gas burning, with the bread on it. When she came out some one told her it was probably her neighbor's kid. She went back to switch off the gas and came out again. This time she came to know that it was not even her neighbor's, it was a passerby. She went back to cook food for her kid. So the situation was same, but there were three different responses. It is up to us, how to take things. How much we are involved. That's why Swamiji asks us for detachment. No attachment no sorrows. This is the change we need in our life. Ashok Goenka ------------------------------ Hari OmAbsolutely Divine is the message of Sadhak B Sathyanarainji to all of us. Consider the following:Rebirth of what? No rebirth to soul. But body changes with Vasanas for more change. Absolutely correct. Soul is beyond birth and death. The mind (body) only is the cause of re-birth. Thanks, Sir ! Pranaams !!Jai Shree KrishnaVyas N B ----------------------------- ------------------------------ PRIOR POSTING Dear Sadaks,2009 there can be a change says Manish Badkas. Time causes mutations inthoughts, perspectives, concepts, ideas, references, even morals...With the vast and confirmable data collected by scientific experiments andtheories, we can change our concepts of spirituality. The abstract concepts ofMoksha, Mukti, Heaven, Hell, Yama and his rope, and so many restrictions imposedon women by the male dominated society....need to be changed....Let us begin theprocess of change from 2009.....Gee Waman------------------------Shree HariRam RamThe most extraordinary change one can make is - "Turning towards Bhagavan"(IS-ness, God, Paramatma, the Beloved, the Light of all Lights). This is onechange that we have complete control over. Thereafter one becomes completelyfree of all worries, fears, sorrows and doubts. When one faces the LIGHT, howcan one see darkness thereafter? It is not possible. All suffering comes fromnot facing the LIGHT, not turning towards Bhagwaan (IS-ness, Absolute). Such aone, how can he do any harm to the world, the society, to the Universe, to theCosmos at large, as oneness with everything in the Cosmos becomes the naturalstate. Just as a fish surrenders to the water... let us face the Light, turn toBhagwaan once and for all, the ULTIMATE CHANGE TOWARDS CHANGELESS. It is theessence of all the Vedas, Upanishad, Gita and scriptures. It will brings all theChange Management Gurus of the world to their knees... begging to learn thesecret. IT IS LIKE MAGIC ! FROM "IS-NOT" TO "IS AND ONLY IS".Meera DasRam Ram------------------------------Hari OmA really Good Question by Michael. In fact, the world appears to youas you are. The entire perspective changes , when you change yourego. Here the change suggested is the change of ego, basically.Because ego is nothing except "me " and "mine" ! Fundamentally thatis all ego consists of. When you CHANGE your ego as aforesaid theentire world changes for you instantly. The FIRST RESULT is that YOUBECOME VICE FREE ! Automatically !!If you think deeply then you will become certain that all FAULTS inyou arise out of your faulty ego , in other words out of yourassumption that " I AM OF THE WORLD AND WORLD IS MINE ". When youchange that to " I AM OF THE GOD AND GOD ONLY IS MINE" – thatnecessarily means that World is NOT MINE. Once the world , worldlypeople, body, mind, intellect , NOTHING IS YOURS – then Greed forwhat? Anger for what? Sorrow for what? Desire for what? Jealosybecause of what? NOTHING WORLDLY IS YOURS ! Hence INSTANTLY , youbecome FAULTLESS !! ( Read Gita 9:30/31) !! INSTANTLY means atthat very moment ! Can any learned Sadhak point out to me that oncenothing is mine , why shall I become angry ? Why there will a needarise for me to tell a lie? If something is earned or lost, something remains or dies, something is good or bad, how does thatmatter to me ? Why I shall ever be sorrowful ? I invite each andevery reader to tell me as to why faults of any kind will remain inme, if nothing worldly is mine ? Why will I sin, if nothing ismine ?That is the first major change Mr Michael which occurs INSTANTLY.All of your faults vanish as if they never existed. That is only aside effect. The real changes which occur in you because of thechange in your ego are manifestation of certain "divine qualities/properties" automatically in your personality. Properties likefearlessness, clear conscience, austerity, kindness, tolerance, truthfulness, non violence, etc ( Refer BG 16:1 to 16:3 for fulllist) . We shall discuss next as to how they manifest unto youEFFORTLESSLY, AUTOMATICALLY merely because you have made that onechange _ MERE TO GIRDHAR GOPAL, DOOSARO NA KOI. ( Only God is mine,no body/thing else is mine )Jai Shree KrishnaVyas N B-------------------------------Dear Sadhakas, namaste! We may look at the difference between "change" and "modifiedbehavior". In this context, Change should be from being "person" tobeing "no person".Becoming "better person" from being "not-so good person" is simplymodifying behavior for some end-gains, or expectations of reward, oravoidance of punishment. For example, when a child misbehaves, mom or dad warns him ofgrounding in a room etc and child stops temporarily misbehaving, andreturns back to being same.I am sure this is not what we want in 2009 change, as it is nochange at all, because "person" being the ego, sense ofseparate 'me" continues in new garbs or another mask.Lord Krishna says in Gita to Arjuna(to us really), "you are not sucha person, you are Atman, which is free always, that which neverceases to be, fire cannot burn, wind cannot dry, water cannot wet, weapons cannot destroy. As such "YOU" are beyond the space-time, asspace-time consciousness arise in "YOU" when willed. You are "ME", the Supreme Consciousness, the One and Whole, you justdon't know it, whereas I KNOW it to be so.If this is understood deeply, "person" drops away from ouractions/karmas, body-mind becomes instrument in the hand of Divinityand above all "Change" takes place in 2009 and beyond! What helps me is I take "Consciousness" for "Krishna" in the entireGita. This very ordinary consciousness we share is the Supreme also asthere is only ONE consciousness! Ordinariness is due to beingconditioned in different ways making us think being separate "me"s.namaskar........Pratap Bhatt--------------------------------Change is the only truth of this world. The entire perspective changes ,when you change your ego - "me " and "mine"- From I am of the World to I am of the God;- From World is Mine to only God is Mine; Nothing else is Mine- Thereafter just watch the grace of God flowing.- INSTANTLY , FAULTLESSNESS !! Why will I sin, if nothing is mine ?- you are Atman, Knowing this... you are changed forever.- Entire Gita is aimed at change. Read Gitaji for any changes- Change must take place at the "core" for it to become actions- "Consciousness" represents "Krishna" in the entire Gita.- there is only ONE consciousness!- Ordinariness is thinking we are separate- Key is "listening" with open-mindedness, free of conditioning- He is unable to change, when busy changing others that do notexist!- Changing is seeing false as false and vice-versa.- Shri Krishna's divine play will guide you through all changes- When in doubt read Gita like Mahatma Gandhi did- Have faith in our scriptures, in Gita Mahatmya- Desire for change is from dissatisfaction. What changes takeplace in practical life of the one who made aforesaid change ofvision? Does Gita indicate / confirm such changes?ThanksMichael Hagen------------------------------NEW POSTING Bhagavat Gita gives the best aid for change management. First the fear of change in self. We abhor change because we are afraid of the new. we are not sure what the change will bring to our existing positions. On the one hand we "believe" in God and on the other hand we fear. We are attached to the fruits of labour; in management jargon, we are orientated towards the results and not to the process.BG advises us to look to the process. With the end result as our focus point, and with our attention to the process, change cannot be a such a challenge. Even in a limited sphere of doing our jobs within an enterprise, people who are not oriented towards the immediate fruits are the best workers and are rewarded in the LONG run. isnt it ?I knew of one consultant, in one of the firms i worked. He always designed his work to avoid criticism from his superiors. but he always landed in getting criticism from him. In effect, his defensive attitude prevented him from doing what is right.Secondly, when you are able to define your swadharma, and cling to it, the changed circumstances are easy to interpret. Even if there is a financial melt down, we will be able to pick up the pieces and will be able to restart when we focus on our swadharma. So That is the path shown by BG Siva ----- We are given ability, and circumstances. These two facets of triad are beyond our control and one can easily see that. What is our ability in any of the domains such as language, logic, Math, Music or Motor skills is given to us. Hardwired as it is in our brain. Our circumstances are also given: Where we are born. Who we come in contacts with etc. But our atitude is what determines How we feel with the outcome. As modern psychologist would tell you: The three variables are 1. What is the ability? 2. What are the circumstances? and 3. How one reacts to the Outcome. This third variable 'How' is what is changed by His Grace. In the sense that we do not see the out come thru the prism of our EGO but we look at it in the devine light as his GRACE and Nothing but his GRACE. We manage the Change by seeing it for what it is His LILA Jay Shri Krishna Hemendra Parikh ------------------------------ PRIOR POSTING Hare Krishna, A small story is coming to my mind. To changeis the nature of PRAKRATI not of PURUSHA. Make one change andthereafter become changeless for ever. Things around you will thenautomatically change- thereafter you just watch the grace of Godflowing around you and marvel at it.Just one change Dear Sadhaks! He replied that Paramamta is like Himself. The nature of Godand man is the same. The world changes, if you changed your outlook and nature. Each manwill appear like Paramatma (God) to you. Even the worst of sinnerswill appear like God. You cannot change the views of others, but youhave the right, the capacity and the capability to change your ownviews. By making your nature pure, everything else becomes pure.People that kill animals and sell their meat are not liked by othersand are looked upon as lowly. But by trying to see it differently, you will see these acts to be a part of Bhagwaan's Kaliyugactivities. Whatever happens should be considered as ordainedby God.Be careful that you do not start considering yourself as the bestand the knower of all, for it is the worst thing that can happen.Being proud of your goodness is the root of all evils.Try to change your views and your outlook and the world will hold adifferent meaning for you.Read the Salvation of Mankind - Chapters 6, 7 and 8. Ram Ram----------------------------QUESTION: Year 2009 is been designated as the year of "change". Howdoes Gita help in not only understanding "change" but alsoincorporating "change" in our day-to-day life...so much so that WEbegin to represent "change"?Manish Badkas-------------------------------FOLLOW UP QUESTION: I have one Question. Mr Vyas stated that once you change from of theworld to of the God, surroundings change. My question is that how dothey change? How the grace of God starts flowing? What changes takeplace in practical life of the one who made aforesaid change ofvision? Does Gita indicate / confirm such changes? ThanksMichael Hagen------------------------------NEW POSTING Hari OmHow does things change around you, when you "become" of God? The message of B Sathyanarainji is one of the best I have ever read. This GT Forum should be proud of his association with it. He is a spiritual jewel in his own right. The first "divine property" which "automatically " manifests in you upon your "becoming" of God is - ABHAYAM- Fearlessness ! Next is "Sattvasanshuddhih"- clear conscience/purity of antahkarana. Let us talk first about fear. What is fear? Nervous excitement, caused by the thought of losing something which is agreeable, and meeting with something, which is undesirable , is called fear !Fear is of 2 kinds- external and internal. External fear is on account of body harm. When you know definite perishability of body, this fear goes. Internal fear mainly arises out of a human indulging into 'prohibited/evil actions' ! When you become of God, the very need for prohibited actions ceases. Fear thus loses the very cause. The more a sadhak believes in God and the more, he depends on Him, the more fearless he becomes. He thinks , that he being part of God, is imperishable , and so there is nothing to be afraid of. The biggest fear is FEAR OF DEATH. By accepting affinity for the Lord (I am of the God, only God is mine) , a person, has no attachment to the body and family etc. Having become free from attachment, a man is not afraid of death, and he becomes TOTALLY FEARLESS.This is how , Dear Sadhaks, the change of ego changes you, effortlessly / automatically !!Jai Shree KrishnaVyas N B ------------------------------- Jai HanumanIt is said that water makes its own way. Divinity has its own ways to manifest. The 2 sterling and real divine messages of B Sathyanarainji, thus found the way to Sadhaks , through clearing the pending mails, even after the question asked by Michael Hagen was closed. Indeed, Jee ! The Chakra of Krishna only plays. When your object becomes that of God , everything around you changes automatically, while you being part of Paramatma remain in changeless mode. There flows, then, the Grace of Daddy, the Great. Beautiful messages, Sathyanarainji , beautiful. If there is impetus anywhere for sadhaks, in Bhagavadgeeta, the best is in first three verses of Chapter 16 !Keep it up, Jee ! Saints have said:KANCHAN TAJANA SAHAJ HAI,SAHAJ TRIYA KO NEH !MAAN, BARAAI, EERSHYA DURLABH TAJANA YEH !!It is easy to renounce money and love of wife. But it is difficult to renounce desire for honor/praise and Jeolousy. When you turn towards God, the basis for very evilness gets removed. Jeolousy for what? Why? Honourable and praiseworthy are two only:TUM , TUMAAR SEVAK ASURAARI !One God ! Two- the Disciples of God, Sadhaks !!Namaste JeeJee JeeShashikala ------------------------------- Shree Hari Ram Ram The Truth is that grace of God is flowing at all times. We simply do not want to look in that direction. The rain is pouring, we choose to keep our bowl upside down and then complaint that our bowl is empty. He leads us to the water, we choose to not drink it. The Sun is shining, we choose to sit in the shade... HIS GRACE, HIS LIGHT IS FLOWING ALL THE TIME... but we choose to face away from it. We choose to face the darkness. All we have to do is face the LIGHT, accept HIS GRACE. This birth is by His grace. With this birth He has provided us all the means to achieve the purpose of this birth which is to realize that we are one with Paramatma. We choose to be stuck, just like the bullocks chasing the wisp of straw, going around in circles, round and round, endlessly all their lives , and yet never going anywhere. All we have to do is recognize His grace and thereafter like Arjuna - "Nashto Moha, Smriti Labdhvaa, Tat Prasaadaa" ONLY BY YOUR GRACE. All attachments are wiped out, and the Truth is now recollected, only by Your grace. "Karishye vachanam tavah". Simply become "Nimit" like Arjuna. Nothing needs to change as such, as we are the CHANGELESS. We are part of Paramatma, Our Beloved One only. Meera Das Ram Ram -------------------------------- PRIOR POSTING Bhagavat Gita gives the best aid for change management. First the fear of change in self. We abhor change because we are afraid of the new. we are not sure what the change will bring to our existing positions. On the one hand we "believe" in God and on the other hand we fear. We are attached to the fruits of labour; in management jargon, we are orientated towards the results and not to the process. BG advises us to look to the process. With the end result as our focus point, and with our attention to the process, change cannot be a such a challenge. Even in a limited sphere of doing our jobs within an enterprise, people who are not oriented towards the immediate fruits are the best workers and are rewarded in the LONG run. isnt it ? I knew of one consultant, in one of the firms i worked. He always designed his work to avoid criticism from his superiors. but he always landed in getting criticism from him. In effect, his defensive attitude prevented him from doing what is right. Secondly, when you are able to define your swadharma, and cling to it, the changed circumstances are easy to interpret. Even if there is a financial melt down, we will be able to pick up the pieces and will be able to restart when we focus on our swadharma. So That is the path shown by BG Siva -----We are given ability, and circumstances. We manage the Change by seeing it for what it is His LILA Jay Shri Krishna Hemendra Parikh ------------------------------ PRIOR POSTING Hare Krishna,A small story is coming to my mind.A house wife was cooking food in her house for her kid who was about to return from school. All of a sudden she heard a voice of an accident followed by a noise of people shouting that a kid was crushed by a speeding car.The house-wife thought, it was her kid so she immediately came left her house leaving the gas burning, with the bread on it.When she came out some one told her it was probably her neighbor's kid. This is the change we need in our life.Ashok Goenka------------------------------ Hari Om Absolutely Divine is the message of Sadhak B Sathyanarainji to all of us. Consider the following: Rebirth of what? No rebirth to soul. But body changes with Vasanas for more change. Absolutely correct. Soul is beyond birth and death. The mind (body) only is the cause of re-birth. Thanks, Sir ! Pranaams !! Jai Shree Krishna Vyas N B ----------------------------- PRIOR POSTING Dear Sadaks, 2009 there can be a change says Manish Badkas. Simple: When Christ arose from death, HE got changed to austrial body, HIS vision changed & saw the kingdom of GOD, HIS idea changed to stay on the earth, left to unchange. Indian origin: Pundalikan from Maharastra in India was worst person indulging in all pleasures. AUM narinder bhandari ------------------------------- PRIOR POSTING Dear Sadhakas, Namaskar, A change is always for better, a change is evolution. Time causes mutations inthoughts, perspectives, concepts, ideas, references, even morals...With the vast and confirmable data collected by scientific experiments andtheories, we can change our concepts of spirituality. The abstract concepts ofMoksha, Mukti, Heaven, Hell, Yama and his rope, and so many restrictions imposedon women by the male dominated society....need to be changed....Let us begin theprocess of change from 2009.....Gee Waman------------------------ Shree HariRam Ram The most extraordinary change one can make is - "Turning towards Bhagavan"(IS-ness, God, Paramatma, the Beloved, the Light of all Lights). FROM "IS-NOT" TO "IS AND ONLY IS". Meera DasRam Ram ------------------------------Hari Om A really Good Question by Michael. Automatically !! If you think deeply then you will become certain that all FAULTS inyou arise out of your faulty ego , in other words out of yourassumption that " I AM OF THE WORLD AND WORLD IS MINE ". Why will I sin, if nothing ismine ? That is the first major change Mr Michael which occurs INSTANTLY.All of your faults vanish as if they never existed. ( Only God is mine,no body/thing else is mine ) Jai Shree KrishnaVyas N B-------------------------------Dear Sadhakas, namaste! Ordinariness is due to beingconditioned in different ways making us think being separate "me"s.namaskar........Pratap Bhatt-------------------------------- Change is the only truth of this world. Everything in this worldchanges. Hari Shanker Deo-------------------------------- -------------------------------Shree HariRam RamSUMMARY OF SADHAK RESPONSES TO DATE - CHANGE only once and become CHANGELESS forever- Change from being "person" to being "no person". - world appears to you as you are. Satisfaction has no end. -------------------------------PRIOR POSTING Dear Aspirants of Peace ! Dear Sadhak,So true sadhak Vyasji...Just accept firmly----ONLY God is mine, and I am God's.This acceptance will bring all changes automatically. With Love,a sadhikaSadhna Karigar Hari Om CHANGE only once , Dear Sadhaks ! Change from I am of the world, world is mine To I am of the God , only God is mine and nothing else is mine !! This one change is so powerful, so decisive, so pious, so divinethat after this you don't have to make any other change. To changeis the nature of PRAKRATI not of PURUSHA. Make one change andthereafter become changeless for ever. Things around you will thenautomatically change- thereafter you just watch the grace of Godflowing around you and marvel at it. Just one change Dear Sadhaks! Only one change! Happy 2009 ! Jai Shree KrishnaVyas N B ------------------------------PRIOR POSTINGDear Sadhakas, Namaste! Entire teaching of Gita is aimed to change "a person" from alimited, timid, helpless, guilt-ridden, self-pitying to limitlessinspite of living with body-mind limitations, courageous, helpful, steadfast, righteous, duty-bound.Understanding "changes" deeply at the core of one's being, automatically gets incorporated in one's actions. There is no "how to" change, only what is false is to be seen false, and truth will act!The change is the natural outcome of such listening.Namaskar............. Pratap Bhatt --------------------------- Dear Sadhak,Hare Krishna Read Shri Gita. You will feel divine change in every everything. Inner change outer change. Worldly change Spiritual change. All Swamijis take resort to Shri Gita. Shri Krishna is Jagat Guru ofall Swamijis. Swami Ramsukhdas ji or Swami Sharanandji every bodyhas got knowledge about God from Shri Gita. Chant at least oneShloka daily. God Krishna will play with you, dance with you, eatwith you, sleep with you, teach you and protect you at every moment. Congratulations on Makar Sankranti Mahesh Sharma------------------------------This is a very important question for all When Mahatma Gandhi was indoubt he was referriing to Bhagvat Gita. When we read Bhagvat Gitaand try to evaluate its meaning there are many chances to transformour life This is change We must have faith in our holy scripturesGita's Mahatmya is worth reading.Truly yours S S Bhatt--------------------------------Dear Sadaks,Ref: Sri Manish Badkas "Change". Means the past was not good andpresent can it be bright. Past year was not satisfactory.Satisfaction has NO boundaries and no end, until one is satisfiedpast and present.Jai Sri Krishnabaiya sathyanarayan-------------------------------- : Shree Hari :Ram Ram 13th January, 2009, TuesdaySomeone asked Swami Sharnanandji Maharaj - What is Paramatma (God)like? He replied that Paramamta is like Himself. The nature of Godand man is the same. The world changes, if you changed your outlook and nature. Each manwill appear like Paramatma (God) to you. Even the worst of sinnerswill appear like God. You cannot change the views of others, but youhave the right, the capacity and the capability to change your ownviews. By making your nature pure, everything else becomes pure. People that kill animals and sell their meat are not liked by othersand are looked upon as lowly. But by trying to see it differently, you will see these acts to be a part of Bhagwaan's Kaliyugactivities. Whatever happens should be considered as ordainedby God. Be careful that you do not start considering yourself as the bestand the knower of all, for it is the worst thing that can happen.Being proud of your goodness is the root of all evils. Try to change your views and your outlook and the world will hold adifferent meaning for you. Read the Salvation of Mankind - Chapters 6, 7 and 8. They areimportant to imbibe in your lives.
