Hari Om

I am pleased to present to Dear sadhaks , divine principles/laws

emanating out of Chapter I of Bhagavad Gita - of course and always

based on discourses of Swamiji Ramsukhdasji Maharaj. In brackets I

am giving references. I hope for both connoisseurs and new sadhaks ,

it will be a treasure to preserve and put into practice.

ETERNAL DIVINE PRINCIPLES AND LAWS EMANATING OUT OF CHAPTER I OF

GITAJI

1 In this world, often fight takes place due to land, female and

wealth. (BG 1:1-Sadhak Sanjivani pg 2)

2 " Maamakah " (My sons) and " Pandavachaiv " (Pandu's sons) in BG 1:1

stated by Dhritrashtra shows " inequality " / " bias " . Because of

this " bias " , Dhritrashtra had to suffer annihilation of all of his

sons.

3. " Mine " and " others " this distinction creates " Raag " (likings)

and " Dvesha " (dislikings) and which in turn creates 'agitation' !

By 'agitation' in Dhritrashtra's mind, war emanated. By 'agitation'

in Arjuna's mind , Holy Gita emanated. Difference - Bhava (inner

sentiments) - (SS pg4)

Proved : RAAG AND DVESHA, ME AND MINE, CAUSE INCALCULABLE

CALAMITIES !

4 Why Duryodhana first talked about enemy camp? (BG 1:2 to 6) Reason

was that he was afraid inside. Inspite of the numbers of warriors

being substantially lower in enemy camp, there was Lord Krishna and

Truth on that side !

Proved: NO BODY CAN IGNORE PRESENCE OF TRUTH / GOD / RIGHTEOUSNESS !

5 When Kaurvas sounded the 'conchs' , Pandava camp was unimpacted.

But when Pandavas did that, the hearts of Duryodhana etc were

rented. (BG 1:13/19)

It proves: WHEN YOU FOLLOW PATH OF INJUSTICE AND UNRIGHTEOUSNESS

YOUR HEART BECOMES WEAK AND HORROR - STRUCK .

6 Arjuna preferred Lord to be with him, while Duryodhana got His

Narayani Army. It means that Arjuna had an eye on Lord Krishna while

Duryodhana had an eye on His stately power.

Proved: THE HEART OF THE PERSON, WHO HAS AN EYE ON GOD IS STRONG .

BUT HEART OF THE PERSON WHO HAS AN EYE ON WORLDLY POWER IS WEAK AS

THE STRENGTH OF WORLD IS UNREAL.

7 Listening to the tricky dialogues of Duryodhana , Dronacharya kept

mum. But Bhisma Pitamah blew the conch ! (BG 1:12)

Proved: WHERE THERE IS PUPIL TEACHER RELATIONSHIP, THERE IS NO

PARTIALITY. BUT WHERE THERE IS 'FAMILY RELATIONSHIP', PARTIALITY

ENSUES. (SS pg 13)

8 Lord Krishna in BG 1: 25 says to Arjuna - " O Partha, behold all

these Kurus, assembled here " . Why? Why did He say " kurus " and

not " sons of Dhritrastra " ? Arjuna was also a " Kuru " . So that Arjuna

may think that they are all one, whether on this side or that side,

whether good or bad and thus a feeling of kinship may develop in

Arjuna !!

JUST AS : A surgeon, first gives medicines , to suppurate a boil and

then operates upon the same , to remove the diseased part

SIMILARLY: GOD FIRST AROUSES THE HIDDEN DELUSION AND THEN DESTROYS

THE SAME.

9. In 39 th verse while Arjuna is thinking about the greed of

Duryodhana etc but he is not thinking about his own infatuation and

delusion. So he cannot understand his duty !!

IT IS A RULE :-

THAT A MAN CANT PERCEIVE HIS FAILINGS AS LONG AS HE PERCEIVES

DEFECTS, IN OTHERS !! ALL EVILS PERSIST UNDER THE COVER OF PRIDE

(Others are wrong, not me)

- SS pg 32

Dear Sadhak,

Just want to add some brief do's and don't from chapter 1 of Gitaji-

1. Consider everybody is mine or nobody is mine (as everybody is

God's). Do not consider some are mine and some are not mine.

(apne paraye ka bhed bhav na rakhiye)

2. Look into your self first for any dosha or vices. If I see vices

in others that simply means I also have some in me. Do not point

finger to others. Do not think of others shortcomings. (Pardosh

chintan se bachiye)

3. Always cherish Krishna (God/The Absolute Truth)'s company. Always

trust HIM. (Bhagwaan par bharosa rakhiye). Never trust worldly

strength like physical strength or name/fame/money etc.

4. Always remain free, cheerful and fearless. If fear arises in my

mind or heart, that simply means I need to establish more closeness

with my Krishna. Never become fearful or depressed.

5. Always observe thoughts in your head. Never allow mind to take

over. Never allow negative thoughts to take over your true Self.

Last but not least accept Krishna your

sarathi/friend/Guru/Guide/parent/child/husband, (then our vishad

also becomes our yoga-) So if I am sad, depressed, frustrated,it is

ok as long as I turn towards Krishna for Guidance. He has miraculous

way to send His Help. Never expect anything from this mortal world.

with Love,

Sadhna Karigar
